Here, we present a protocol to reconstruct chromosomal translocations with different partner genes of KMT2A in vitro. The ASPP (apoptosis-stimulating protein of p53) family of proteins is involved in many cellular interactions and is starting to emerge as a major scaffolding hub for numerous proteins involved in cancer biology, inflammation and cellular integrity. It consists of the three members ASPP1, ASPP2 and iASPP which are best known for modulating the apoptotic function of p53, thereby directing cell fate decision. Germline mutations in iASPP have been shown to cause cardiocutaneous syndromes, a combination of heart and skin defects usually leading to death before the age of five.

The concept of Targeted Protein Degradation (TPD) has been introduced as an attractive alternative to the development of classical inhibitors. TPD can extend the range of proteins that can be pharmacologically targeted beyond the classical targets for small molecule inhibitors, as a binding pocket is required but its occupancy does not need to lead to inhibition. The method is based on either small molecules that simultaneously bind to a protein of interest and to a cellular E3 ligase and bring them in close proximity (molecular glue) or a bi-functional molecule synthesized from the chemical linkage of a target protein-specific small molecule and one that binds to an E3 ligase (Proteolysis Targeting Chimeras (PROTAC)).

Increasing chemical pollution calls for a closer look at ecologically highly relevant host-parasite interactions to understand the persistence of organisms and populations in a polluted environment. The impact of chemical exposure within the host-parasite interactions - particularly the distinctive bioaccumulation behavior of organic micropollutants - can substantially influence the persistence of a species. This significance has been emphasized by previous research showing a higher tolerance of Gammarus roeselii (Amphipoda, Crustacea) infected with acanthocephalans during acute exposure to a pyrethroid.

This study assesses the cost-effectiveness of LTP compared with ODT in VWD patients treated with Voncento in the United Kingdom (UK).
