Lung cancer remains a formidable global health burden, necessitating a comprehensive understanding of the underlying molecular mechanisms driving its progression. Recently, lncRNAs have become necessary controllers of various biological functions, including cancer development. MALAT1 has garnered significant attention due to its multifaceted role in lung cancer progression.

Background: Pandemic preparedness of healthcare providers helps to mitigate future threats such as spread and fatality rates, as well as the management of the disease. Pharmacists are key partners with public health agencies, and the role of community pharmacists is becoming increasingly recognised in this COVID-19 pandemic. The study aimed to explore the emergency preparedness of community pharmacists (CPs) for COVID-19.

Introduction: In supplying medicines to patients and consumers waste can occur in prescribing, dispensing, and leftover stages. Pharmacists in community pharmacies play a crucial role in dispensing and should share information on appropriate medicines disposal with consumers. This qualitative study explored how Malaysian community pharmacists manage medication wastage, returned medicines, and medicines disposal by eliciting their opinions on medicines wastage, the challenges faced, and feasibility of medicine return and safe medicine disposal in the setting of Malaysian community pharmacy.

Aims: Imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine-based analogues have recently gained significant interest because of their wide spectrum of biological activities including anti-cancer potential, however the development of targeted therapeutic candidates against non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is of utmost need due to its high prevalence and poor prognosis. Herein, we have aimed to synthesized novel imidazo [1,2-a] pyridine derivatives (IMPA) by coupling with 2-amino-4H-pyran to enhance bioactivity against NSCLC.
Main Methods: We have designed and synthesized a series of fifteen novel imidazo [1,2-a] pyridine derivatives through molecular hybridization and studied their anti-cancer activity against in-vitro lung adenocarcinoma and 3D multicellular lung tumor spheroids.

Among various epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT)-related transcription factors (TFs), altered expression levels of Snail-1, Snail-2/Slug, Twist, and ZEB1 have shown a significant association in different cancers having a higher risk of metastasis. However, their role in the circulation of endometriosis patients is not well understood. Hence, the present study was designed to evaluate the crucial role of these TFs in defining the molecular pathogenesis for endometriosis progression and differentiation from control subjects.

Tuberculosis (TB) is the deadly infectious disease challenging the public health globally and its impact is further aggravated by co-infection with HIV and the emergence of drug resistant strains of Mycobacterium tuberculosis. In this study, we attempted to characterise the Rv2004c encoded protein, a member of DosR regulon, for its role in drug resistance. In silico docking analysis revealed that Rv2004c binds with streptomycin (SM).
