Objectives: EGFR exon 20 insertion (EGFRex20ins) mutations are found in up to 4% of all patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). These patients are often insensitive to EGFR-tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) and have worse prognosis than patients with more common EGFR mutations. In this multicenter, retrospective, real-world study, we sought to determine whether the administration of recently approved treatments that specifically target EGFRex20ins mutations could significantly improve outcomes in this patient population.

Background: Common Variable Immunodeficiency (CVID) represents a heterogenic group of primary immunodeficiencies (PID) characterized by impaired antibody production and susceptibility to infections. Non-infectious complications, such as autoimmune diseases, lymphoproliferative disorders, and malignancies, now significantly impact prognosis. Moreover, both hematologic and solid organ malignancies are more frequently observed in CVID patients compared to other PIDs.

To assess the effects of the eFisioTrack monitoring system on clinical variables in patients with prescribed physiotherapy for shoulder injuries, twenty-four adult patients with shoulder orthopaedic injuries who underwent physical therapy treatment in a hospital setting participated in the study (twelve in the experimental group and twelve as controls). Clinical outcome measures were shoulder function and pain (Constant-Murley Score and Disabilities of the Arm, Shoulder, and Hand or DASH score). Each variable was measured by a blinded physiotherapist at baseline and at one month follow-up.

Purpose: To evaluate the diagnostic validity of the HNT-1P non-contact tonometer (Huvitz) as a tool for accurately measuring intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with healthy eyes, compared to the Goldmann applanation tonometer (GAT), which is the Gold Standard method for measurement of IOP.
Methods: Observational, descriptive, transversal study using 148 eyes of 74 healthy patients without a diagnosis of glaucoma or other ophthalmological diseases. Three measurements of IOP were taken in each eye, using three tonometers: HNT-1P, ICR100, and GAT.

Background And Aims: Recent studies point out to epidemiological changes in primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC). Our aims were to determine in PSC patients followed in several centers in a Mediterranean geographic area: (i) changes in baseline features and (ii) effect of gender on clinical course.
Methods: Retrospective multicenter study of PSC patients treated in 8 hospitals in a Mediterranean area between 2000 and 2021.

Background: The diagnosis of left dominant arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathy (LDAC) is sometimes complex. The Padua group recently published a document with criteria to identify patients with LDAC, requiring a compatible genetic variant for diagnosis. Due to the gaps in the knowledge of the role of genetics in its pathogenesis, our objective is to describe the findings of the genetic test in patients with LDAC in our center and its prognostic impact.

T-cell activation in patients with chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP) is enriched by late cytotoxic T cells. The proportion of early and intermediate activated cytotoxic T cells decreases in nasal polyps of patients with CRSwNP. Our results identify late activated cytotoxic T cells as potential biomarkers or therapeutic targets for patients with CRSwNP.

Aim: This study's aims are: 1) To use the Delphi method to determine the level of consensus among hospital pharmacists (HPs) as regards the factors involved in the current approach to patients with atopic dermatitis (AD); 2) To identify potential areas for improvement in hospital pharmacy in terms of dealing with patients with severe AD; and 3) To contribute to adequate pharmaceutical care for patients with AD by drawing up recommendations.
Methods: A two-round Delphi survey with participation from HPs from all over Spain. Three theme-based blocks were set out: 1) AD; 2) Management of patients with severe AD in the Hospital Pharmacy setting; and 3) Unmet needs (pathology, patient, treatment and management).

Chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP) is an inflammatory disease of the nose and paranasal sinuses characterized by the presence of nasal polyps. The symptoms produced by the presence of nasal polyps such as nasal obstruction, nasal discharge, facial pain, headache, and loss of smell cause a worsening in the quality of life of patients. The source of the nasal polyps remains unclear, although it seems to be due to a chronic inflammation process in the sinonasal mucosa.

Background: Fibroblasts and others mesenchymal cells have recently been identified as critical cells triggering tissue-specific inflammatory responses. Persistent activation of fibroblasts inflammatory program has been suggested as an underlying cause of chronic inflammation in a wide range of tissues and pathologies. Nevertheless, the role of fibroblasts in the emergence of chronic inflammation in the upper airway has not been previously addressed.

Iris-fixated intraocular lens (IOL) is considered a safe and effective option for the correction of aphakia in patients with insufficient capsular support. This systematic review aims to summarize the existing evidence about the Artisan/Verisyse IOLs and to assess the influence of the IOL position on the postoperative outcomes. Three different databases were used for this systematic review and metaanalysis (PubMED, Scopus, and Embase).

Background: Preterm infants have a low level of bone mineralization compared to those born at term, since 80% of calcium incorporation occurs at the end of pregnancy. The purpose of the present study was to investigate the effect of reflex locomotion therapy on bone modeling and growth in preterm infants and to compare its effect with those of other Physiotherapy modalities.
Methods: A multicentre randomized controlled clinical trial was conducted (02/2016 - 07/2020).
