Objective: To review the literature on salvage treatments after focal therapy (FT) for prostate cancer (PCa).
Materials And Methods: A non-systematic literature review was conducted on PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science up to March 15, 2024, for studies that assessed salvage treatment outcomes in patients with recurrent PCa after primary FT. Original prospective and retrospective studies with more than 10 patients were included.

Background/purpose: The standard treatment for boys with non-syndromic cryptorchidism is an early orchidopexy. It is unclear if surgical intervention alone is enough for future fertility. Recent studies show benefit of neoadjuvant or adjuvant hormonal treatment with gonadorelin (GnRH) for spermatogonia maturation based on testicular biopsy.

Improvement and testing of a flow modulator for the application in comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography separations is the subject of the presented paper. This improved setup constructed from two independent capillary branches each consisting of a pressure regulator, a pressure sensor, a two-way solenoid valve and a microfluidic T-connector, allows an independent and easy settings of the pressures and flow velocities in the modulator and provides system flexibility in an operation without need of any component exchange. Purpose: To assess levels of matrix metalloproteinases 2 and 9 (MMP-2 and MMP-9) in follicular fluids and sera of female patients undergoing in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment, and discover the role of MMPs in IVF outcome prediction.
Methods: Sera and follicular fluids were obtained from 58 female patients treated for infertility by IVF. Twenty-nine of them became pregnant after the embryo-transfer; another 29 were not successful in IVF and did not conceive.
