In this article, authors report the different steps of development and clinical validation of MatrixMANDIBLE Subcondylar Plates (Synthes, Soletta, Switzerland), a specialized osteosynthesis system developed by Synthes during the past 4 years. Between 2009 and 2013, a total of 62 patients were treated for subcondylar and condylar neck fractures via a preauricular or retromandibular/transparotid approach. The MatrixMANDIBLE Subcondylar Plates System consists of a Trapezoidal Plate, a three-dimensional (3D) 4-hole 1.

Objectives: Recurrence of disease represents a clinical challenge in cervical cancer patients, especially when all available treatment modalities have been used in the primary setting. Methods: This study was conducted on 364 LACC patients treated with CTRT plus RS since January 1996 to July 2012.

To 106 14-56 year-old allergic people (30 monosensitized, 24 sensitized to 2 pollens, 52 polysensitized) we have evaluated the Global Immune Competence Status (GICS). That's a compound score, made of ten parameters, six regarding cell-mediated immunity (WBC/mmc, Gr/mmc, Ly/mmc, Ly CD3+/mmc, Ly CD4+/mmc, CD4/CD8 Ratio), four regarding nutritional status and humoral immunity (Tot. Protein mg/dl, Albumin mg/dl, Gammaglobulins mg/dl, IgG mg/dl).

The repair of common bile duct injuries is a challenge even when performed by experienced surgeons. Bile duct defects are normally repaired by biliodigestive or biliobiliary anastomoses but several experimental studies have been conducted with the aim of understanding whether or not synthetic prosthetic materials can be used. Although there are few experimental studies on the use of autogenous grafts, most of the international literature would appear to be more interested in the use of synthetic materials.
