The mental health of Chinese military personnel: a cross-sectional epidemiological study.

Backgrounds: Considering the crucial role of military personnel's mental health in the armed forces, society, and the nation, the present study aims to describe the prevalence and influential factors of depression, anxiety, insomnia, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) among Chinese military personnel during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Methods: The present study conducted an epidemiological investigation of mental health among Chinese military personnel between October 25th and November 10th, 2022. Data was collected from military units in thirty provinces across the country.

Upregulation of CRISP3 and its clinical values in adult sepsis: a comprehensive analysis based on microarrays and a two-retrospective-cohort study.

Background: Current lines of evidence indicate that cysteine-rich secretory protein 3 (CRISP3) is an immunoregulatory factor. Nevertheless, no study has explored the relationships between the values of CRISP3 and sepsis.

Methods: We conducted a comprehensive literature search and meta-analysis from the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) and ArrayExpress to determine the expression of CRISP3 in sepsis patients.

Methods: A systematic search and screening was conducted in PubMed, CINAHL, Embase, WHO Guidelines, Cochrane Library, ISI Web of Science, MEDLINE and China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) Database, and 31 articles were selected from 244 articles for critique and synthesis.

In the field of ophthalmology, orbital fat prolapse under the upper eyelid is less recognized than subconjunctival orbital fat prolapse. Despite its occasional occurrence in clinical practice, this condition is often inadequately understood and incorrectly classified due to its subtle manifestations and the limited number of focused studies. Typically affecting young patients, the prolapse is located subcutaneously in the mid-upper eyelid, resulting in a pseudo-occlusion.

One of the risk factors for GIT injury is exposure to a high-altitude hypoxic environment, which can lead to damage to the intestinal mucosal barrier. Taking NSAIDs in a high-altitude hypoxic environment can exacerbate GIT injury and impact gut microbiota.

Therefore, this study aimed to systematically review and demonstrate the efficacy and safety of MDMA-assisted psychotherapy for the treatment of PTSD.

ATG5-regulated CCL2/MCP-1 production in myeloid cells selectively modulates anti-malarial CD4 Th1 responses.

Parasite-specific CD4 Th1 cell responses are the predominant immune effector for controlling malaria infection; however, the underlying regulatory mechanisms remain largely unknown. This study demonstrated that ATG5 deficiency in myeloid cells can significantly inhibit the growth of rodent blood-stage malarial parasites by selectively enhancing parasite-specific CD4 Th1 cell responses. This effect was independent of ATG5-mediated canonical and non-canonical autophagy.

Methods: A systematic review of case series, case-control, and cohort studies derived from the articles published in PubMed, the Cochrane Library, Embase, Web of Science, CNKI, CBM, Wanfang and VIP, as well as ClinicalTrials, which were conducted to search for studies on factors of vault using four core terms: phakic intraocular lenses, vault, risk factor and observational study, from January 01, 1997, to February 20, 2023.

Galectin-9 alleviates acute graft-versus-host disease after haplo-hematopoietic stem cell transplantation by regulating regulatory T cell/effector T cell imbalance.

Background: Acute graft-versus-host disease (aGVHD) arises from the imbalance of host T cells. Galectin-9 negatively regulates CD4 effector T cell (Th1 and Th17) function by binding to Tim-3. However, the relationship between Galectin-9/Tim-3 and CD4 T subsets in patients with aGVHD after Haplo-HSCT (haploidentical peripheral blood hematopoietic stem cell transplantation) has not been fully elucidated.

This study aimed to explore the role of plasma methylated SEPT9 (mSEPT9) in predicting liver metastasis (LM) in colorectal cancer (CRC) patients. The clinicopathological information of 115 consecutive CRC patients were collected. The differences of clinical characteristics and several biomarkers between CRC patients with LM and those with non-liver metastasis (NM) were analyzed.

Objective: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of noninvasive therapies in the treatment of central poststroke pain (CPSP) by network meta-analysis and to provide an evidence-based basis for clinical practice.

Methods: PubMed, Cochrane Library, EMBASE, CNKI, Wanfang, and VIP were searched for clinical randomized controlled studies on noninvasive therapy for CPSP. The retrieval time limit was from the establishment of each database to July 2022.

Diagnosis and treatment of traumatic Descemet's membrane detachment: A case series.

Rationale: The Descemet layer is a dense layer of tissue that does not detach under normal circumstances. Descemet layer detachment may occur after intraocular surgery, but the Descemet layer spontaneously detached after trauma in this child, which is relatively rare. After looking for the cause, we found that the child was diagnosed with congenital glaucoma, and the trauma induced the Descemet's membrane detachment.
