[Progress of operation treatment for subtrochanteric fractures].

Fracture of the subtrochanteric area of the femur is one of the most difficult about the hip to manage. Many of these fractures are comminuted and result from high-energy trauma. Nonoperative treatment of these fractures may result in a significant rate of malunion, nonunion and other complications.

Clinical and imaging features in 16 infants exposed to food contaminated with melamine and cyanuric acid.

Objective: The objective of our study was to describe the clinical and imaging features of infants exposed to milk formula contaminated with melamine and cyanuric acid.

Conclusion: The imaging feature of patients exposed to food contaminated with melamine and cyanuric acid was multiple calculi of the urinary tract that varied greatly in size and shape. Most patients presented with symptoms of urinary obstruction.

Adult prostate sarcoma: radiological-clinical correlation.

Aim: To describe the imaging features and the correlation with clinical findings of adult prostate sarcoma.

Materials And Methods: Radiological data of seven adult male patients with prostate sarcoma, documented by pathological examination of specimens, were analysed retrospectively. Radiological features were correlated with clinical and pathological findings.

[Immobilization of N-acetyl-1,6-diaminohexane(NADAH) on diol-silica and study of mechanism of NADAH and hexamethylene bisacetamide(HMBA) inducing tumor cells differentiation].

A method for separating NADAH and its immobilization onto diol-silica have been developed. HMBA and its meabolite NADAH were used as the inducers for many types of tumor cells' differentiation. The inducing mechanism of HMBA is not clear yet.

[The types and distributive features of gene mutation on beta-thalassemia in three districts in northwest China].

Objective: To sum up the results of gene analyses on beta-Thalassemia in three districts in northwest China and discuss the types and distributive features of the mutation.

Methods: Polymerase china reaction in combination with dot-blot hybridization of allele-specific oligonucleutide probes(PCR-ASO).

Results: In the gene analysis carried out in 85 probands with beta-Thalassemia, twelve types of gene mutation were identified from five nationalities.

Hydrophobic chromatography of the HL-60 cellular fraction co-binding with hexamethylene bisacetamide.

Methods of separating N-acetyl-1,6-diaminohexane (NADAH) and its immobilization to diol-silica have been developed. Hexamethylene bisacetamide (HMBA) and its metabolite NADAH are used as inducers of leukemia cell differentiation. The inducing mechanism of HMBA is still not clear.
