Background: Hyperkalaemia is a frequent and potentially life-threatening condition in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD). Background: The occurrence of diabetes mellitus is common after kidney transplantation (posttransplant diabetes mellitus [PTDM]) and enhances the cardiovascular risk and risk for kidney graft loss.
