Purpose: We performed a scoping review to explore if ChatGPT, an artificial intelligence platform, can play a significant role in anatomy education.
Methods: PubMed, SCOPUS, ERIC and Cochrane databases were searched for articles which included anatomical questions asked to ChatGPT. From each article, we extracted the following data: authors, type of study (qualitative or quantitative), presence or not of comparison of ChatGPT with other platforms or humans, type of questions asked to ChatGPT and evaluation of the answers to these questions.

Background: In light of the scarcity of evidence, TIGREECE evaluated the clinical management and long-term outcomes of patients at high risk for an atherothrombotic event who have suffered a myocardial infarction (MI), managed by cardiologists/internists in routine hospital and private office settings in Greece.
Methods: TIGREECE, a multicenter, 3-year prospective cohort study, enrolled patients ≥50 years old, with a history of MI 1-3 years before enrollment and with at least one of the following risk factors: age ≥65 years, diabetes mellitus requiring medication, second prior MI, multivessel coronary artery disease, and creatinine clearance 15-60 mL/min. The primary outcome was a composite of MI, unstable angina with urgent revascularization, stroke, or all-cause death.

During the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) pandemic, coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has been significantly studied for its relationship with diabetes mellitus in general. Still, the association of SARS-CoV-2 infection with diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) is more specific and warrants a meticulous investigational approach. In this case report, we present a 23-year-old female who developed DKA as the first manifestation of SARS-CoV-2 infection.

Background: Bladder cancer (BC) is a heterogeneous malignancy with dismal outcome.
Patients And Methods: Mutations in genes, altered or linked to platinum sensitivity in BC, were examined in 66 patients' tumors along with tumor infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) density and MMR, PD-L1 and CD8 protein expression, as well as basal and luminal subtypes, defined by protein expression of markers, including CK5/6 and GATA3 or CK20, respectively.
Results: 41 tumors harbored mutations, mainly in TP53 (38%), ARID1A (17%) and the DNA damage response and repair (DDR) genes ERCC2 (17%) and BRCA2 (15%).

Background: Recent findings associate asymmetric dimethylarginine (ADMA) and symmetric dimethylarginine (SDMA) with the prognosis of acute myocardial infarction (AMI). The purpose of the current study was to associate patients' lifestyle, sociodemographic, and somatometric characteristics with the time course of ADMA and SDMA concentrations in the serum of AMI patients.
Patients And Methods: In the serum of 66 AMI patients, ADMA, SDMA, troponin T, and C-reactive protein (CRP) were measured upon hospital admission (<24 h) and on the 3 day following.

COVID-19 pandemic has affected more than a million people worldwide causing a public health crisis. Under these unique circumstances, urologists continue to provide essential healthcare services and support healthcare systems, by participating in the treatment of COVID-19(+) patients and sparing vital equipment and hospital beds. However, delivering medical care during the pandemic requires strategic planning for all surgical and outpatient activities.

Leptospirosis is a worldwide, often severe and potentially fatal zoonotic infection. Here, we present the case of a 35-year-old man with severe leptospirosis infection that was identified early and was treated effectively, with a quite impressive complete recovery. Delaying of early diagnosis and treatment is crucial for the development of an unfavorable clinical course and increases the risk of a lethal outcome.

Background: Current European Guidelines suggest the use of cardiovascular risk categories and also recommend using high-intensity statins for patients with acute coronary syndromes (ACS).
Objective: We examined the risk of ACS patients prior to the event, as well as the overall use and intensity of statins.
Methods: We enrolled 687 ACS patients (mean age 63 years, 78% males).

In this phase 2 multicenter trial, we evaluated the efficacy of the combination of bortezomib, dexamethasone, and rituximab (BDR) in 59 previously untreated symptomatic patients with Waldenström macroglobulinemia (WM), most of which were of advanced age and with adverse prognostic factors. BDR consisted of a single 21-day cycle of bortezomib alone (1.3 mg/m IV on days 1, 4, 8, and 11), followed by weekly IV bortezomib (1.

Background: Smoking has long been positively associated with the development and progression of coronary heart disease. However, longitudinal cohort studies evaluating smoking habits among cardiac patients as well as the role of socio-demographic factors determining such behaviours are scarce and have been focused on primary care practice. Thus the aim of the present work was to examine the association of active smoking and behaviours and exposure to second-hand smoke, with the 10-year Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS) prognosis, among cardiovascular patients.

Introduction: Vasoconstrictive endothelin signaling is not limited to idiopathic pulmonary arterial hypertension, but has also been implicated in pulmonary hypertension due to valvular heart disease. The efficacy and safety of endothelin receptor antagonists in these patients is unknown. We investigated the effects of bosentan in patients with transthoracic echocardiographic (TTE) evidence of pulmonary hypertension due to mitral stenosis associated with rheumatic fever.

Objectives: To evaluate the potential differences in risk factors' profile for in-hospital mortality and up to 1-year prognosis, between younger and older patients with first acute coronary syndromes (ACS).
Methods: From October 2003 to September 2004, 1323 patients with first ACS event from 6 urban and rural Greek hospitals were enrolled into the study, classified as those < 65 years and ≥ 65 years old. Multiple logistic regression analysis was used to evaluate the association between socio-demographic, lifestyle, clinical characteristics and the disease prognosis for one year after discharge.

Suppression of uninvolved immunoglobulins is common in multiple myeloma (MM) but the prognostic significance of this phenomenon has not been assessed. We evaluated the prognostic significance of the preservation of uninvolved immunoglobulins in 1755 consecutive, unselected, patients with newly diagnosed, symptomatic MM with pre-therapy immunoglobulin levels measured by nephelometry. Suppression of at least one uninvolved immunoglobulin was observed in 87% of patients and was more common in patients with immunoglobulin A myeloma, those aged over 65 years, in patients with advanced-International Staging System (ISS) stage, extensive-bone marrow infiltration, anemia, low platelet counts, high levels of serum M-monoclonal protein or renal dysfunction.
