Background: There is currently no staging system for cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (cSCC) that is adapted to decision-making and universally used. Experts have unconscious ability to simplify the heterogeneity of clinical situations into a few relevant groups to drive their therapeutic decisions. Therefore, we have used unsupervised clustering of real cases by experts to generate an operational classification of cSCCs, an approach that was successful for basal cell carcinomas.

Introduction: The testing of visuocognitive development in preterm infants shows strong interactions between perinatal characteristics and cognition, learning and overall neurodevelopment evolution. The assessment of anticipatory gaze data of object-location bindings via eye-tracking can predict the neurodevelopment of preterm infants at the age of 3 years; little is known, however, about the early cognitive function and its assessment methods during the first year of life.
Methods: The current study presents data from a novel assessment tool, a Delayed Match Retrieval (DMR) paradigm via eye-tracking was used to measure visual working memory (VWM) and attention skills.

maturation of oocytes (IVM) represents an assisted reproductive technique that involves the minimal or absence of ovarian stimulation and is beneficial to specific groups of patients. These may include women with polycystic ovarian syndrome and/or patients who need a fertility preservation option before undergoing gonadotoxic treatment. However, when IVM is applied in cases where it is not recommended, it can be considered as an add-on technique, as described by the ESHRE Guideline Group on Female Fertility Preservation.

Transoesophageal echocardiography (TOE) is a well-established and valid imaging modality, providing more accurate and of higher quality information than transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) for several specific diagnoses and recently a useful guide of an increasing number of catheter-based and surgical interventions. The present paper represents an effort by the Echocardiography Working Group (WG) of the Hellenic Society of Cardiology to state the essential steps of the TOE exam performed beyond the echo lab: a) in the operating rooms intraoperatively during either transcatheter interventions, or cardiothoracic surgery and b) in the intensive care unit for critically ill patients' monitoring. This paper includes information and tips and tricks about the pre-procedural evaluation, the procedural echocardiographic guidance, and post-procedural evaluation of the result and potential complications.
