Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is one of the most aggressive tumors, and the most common cause of cancer-related deaths. In the past, vascular infiltration of the tumor rendered the disease unresectable. However, today, venous or arterial involvement of a PDAC is classified as borderline resectable (BR) or locally advanced (LA) disease.

Introduction: Data regarding quality of life (QoL) of oncologic patients experiencing dermatologic immune-related adverse events (dirAEs) and their course after dermatologic intervention are scarce.
Objectives: To assess the impact of dirAEs on patients QoL and to investigate the correlation between dermatologic and oncologic indexes used for estimating QoL.
Methods: We enrolled oncologic patients with dirAEs managed in two supportive onco-dermatology outpatient clinics in Greece.

Background: Patients undergoing open abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) repair have a high risk of incisional hernia. Heterogeneity in recommendations regarding prophylactic mesh reinforcement between scientific society guidelines reflects the lack of sufficient data, with the Society for Vascular Surgery making no recommendation on methods for abdominal wall closure. We aimed to synthesize the most current evidence on mesh versus primary suture abdominal wall closure after open AAA repair.

Background: Pulse Wave Velocity (PWV) remains the gold-standard method to assess Early Vascular Aging (EVA) defined by arterial stiffness. However, its high cost, time-consuming process, and need for qualified medical staff shows the importance of identifying alternative methods for the EVA evaluation.
Objective: In order to simplify the process of assessing patient's EVA, we recently developed the Early Vascular Aging Ambulatory score (EVAAs), a simple tool to predict the risk of EVA.

Hepatic artery aneurysms (HAAs) are an uncommon vascular disease, which account for 20% of visceral artery aneurysms. The majority are usually asymptomatic and discovered accidentally during imaging control, but occasionally, they can present as acute abdominal pain, haemobilia, obstructive jaundice, or gastrointestinal bleeding due to aneurysm sac expansion or rupture with catastrophic consequences. We present the case of a 51-year-old male patient with a giant common HAA of 11.

Precise classification of sarcomas is crucial to optimal clinical management. In this prospective, multicenter, observational study within the Hellenic Group of Sarcoma and Rare Cancers (HGSRC), we assessed the effect of expert pathology review, coupled with the application of molecular diagnostics, on the diagnosis and management of sarcoma patients. Newly diagnosed sarcoma patients were addressed by their physicians to one of the two sarcoma pathologists of HGSRC for histopathological diagnostic assessment.
