Medicine, and human healing more generally, have been constantly evolving for millennia as part of humanity's persistent efforts to heal its injuries and diseases, to maintain wellbeing, and to delay the inevitable: death. The philosophy underlying medicine has always been closely intertwined with the prevailing ideas in each historical period. Prejudices, religious beliefs, even magical herbs, as well as rational thought and advanced sciences, make up the fabric of over 2,000 years of western medicine.

Anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR) using double adjustable fixation gained popularity in the last decade due to its minimally invasive technique. However, suspensory fixation devices could be related to recurrent instability, poor clinical outcomes, and patient dissatisfaction. The present study aims to evaluate the clinical outcomes following ACLR using double adjustable-loop suspensory fixation devices in the demanding population of young patients.

Introduction: Real-world data on management of metastatic castration resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) with novel therapies is sparse. The aim of this study was to capture real-world management strategies in patients with mCRPC who initiated first line (1L) systemic therapy with chemotherapy or novel hormonal agents (NHAs) in Greece and describe the therapeutic sequencing strategy among patients who advanced to 2L and 3L treatment.
Patients And Methods: In this noninterventional, multicentre, retrospective study (PROSPECT), a medical chart review of 149 patients with mCRPC who initiated 1L systemic therapy with chemotherapy or NHAs in 7 major anticancer hospital clinics, from public, academic, and private sectors in Greece was conducted.

The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends that infants be breastfed exclusively for the first 6 months of age. However, there are few resources available on the effects a spinal cord injury (SCI) can have for breastfeeding mothers. It is difficult to find information to address the unique challenges women with SCI experience when planning or trying to breastfeed.

Glaucoma is a common and potentially blinding complication of uveitis. Many mechanisms are involved alone or in combination in the pathogenesis of uveitic glaucoma (UG). In terms of diagnostic evaluation, the effects of inflammatory activity in the retinal nerve fiber layer may be a source of bias in the interpretation of optical coherence tomography measurements.

Scar development in the children's renal cortex with vesicoureteral reflux (VUR) is one of the most important parameters of prognosis. It can develop regardless of the chosen treatment, even after the regression of VUR. The shape of the renal papillae, the ascending urinary tract infection, the greater than third-degree VUR, and finally the increased intra-calyceal pressure, induce the formation of renal scarring in the renal parenchyma.
