Ganglioneuroblastoma (GNB) is a rare tumour of neuroectodermal origin consisting of a varying proportion of neuroblasts and ganglion cells. GNB arises from sympathoadrenal tissue usually affecting young children. Very few cases of brain GNB have been reported in the literature.

Background: Regulations on Graduate Medical Education (Amendment), 2019 (GME) introduced competency-based medical education (CMBE) for undergraduate medical students and were implemented in the 2019 entrance batch in medical colleges all over India. This study aimed to find out the challenges faced by medical teachers in CBME implementation, lessons learned, and the level of preparedness for upcoming batches.

Material And Methods: A cross-sectional, multi-centric descriptive study was conducted from November 2021 to February 2022 including first-year faculty of medical colleges.

Background: Internet gaming disorder (IGD) is a global problem associated with several psychological complications, such as insomnia, poor academic performance, and aggression. The present study aimed to explore the pattern and correlates of gaming disorder among a sample of medical college students from India and determine the motivational basis for it.

Introduction: Xanthelasma palpebrarum is considered to be a cutaneous marker for cardiovascular diseases, and there is a known association with hypertension, insulin resistance, diabetes mellitus, obesity, and stroke.

Objectives: Our aim was to study the association and identify the predictors of metabolic syndrome in patients with xanthelasma palpebrarum.

Methods: An observational study was conducted on 55 patients in which patients of both sexes ages 20-70 years without any other skin condition were included after written informed consent.

Unlabelled: Depth of invasion (DOI) is an established independent prognostic factor in oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) and also predicts cervical nodal metastasis. Preoperative determination of DOI based on imaging can aid in decision-making regarding neck dissection or determining the prognosis of the disease. This study aimed to correlate the DOI measured on contrast enhanced computed tomography (rDOI) with the pathologically measured DOI (pDOI).

Effect of the Heaviness of Smoking Index (HSI) and Duration of Smoking on Central Neural Processing Using Brainstem Auditory Evoked Responses (BAERs).

Purpose of study The goal of this research was to find the correlation of nicotine dependence and duration of smoking with the status of central neuronal processing in chronic smokers. Our primary objective was to record brainstem auditory evoked responses (BAERs) in chronic smokers and further find their correlation to the Heaviness of Smoking Index (HSI) scores and years of non-abstained smoking of the subjects. We postulated that smoking leads to myelination abnormalities which in turn causes decreased impulse conduction velocity.

Objectives: Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) is a group of diverse medical and healthcare systems, practices, and products that are not generally considered part of conventional medicine. Pregnant women are vulnerable to adverse effects of medicines, especially during the first trimester. Though it is advised to avoid unnecessary intake of medicine during pregnancy, CAM use is widespread.

Settings And Design: A cross-sectional observational study was conducted at a university-based hospital.

Methods: Two hundred patients with blood dyscrasias underwent comprehensive ocular examination, including dilated fundus examination.

A Case Report and Review of Diagnostic and Therapeutic Challenges of a Malignant Peripheral Nerve Sheath Tumor in the Foot.

Malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumors are rare. It is a soft tissue carcinoma with an aggressive nature, and it is usually associated with a poor prognosis. Common clinical presentations may include local pain, weakness, a growing mass, tingling, and numbness due to the compression of adjacent nerves or tissues, as well as weakness in affected nerves.

A Rare Case Report of Enchondroma of Triquetrum and Pisiform.

Introduction: Enchondroma is a cartilaginous benign tumor of bone with the most common involvement of tubular bones of hands and feet. The triquetrum and pisiform are carpal bones and the enchondroma of the triquetrum and pisiform has not been reported in the literature to the best of our knowledge.

Aim: Our aim was to determine prevalence and type of neuro-radiological lesions detected on screening Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) of brain in patients presenting with progressive sensorineural hearing loss in otorhinolaryngology clinic.

Background: Development of esophageal varices is one of the major complications of liver cirrhosis, and endoscopy is used to see the presence, grading, and long-term monitoring of esophageal varices which is an invasive and unpleasant procedure. There is no adequate data available showing noninvasive methods can be used for the same.

Pleural effusion is a common problem in our country, and most of these patients need invasive tests as they can't be evaluated by blood tests alone. The simplest of them is diagnostic pleural aspiration, and diagnostic techniques such as medical thoracoscopy are being performed more frequently than ever before. However, most physicians in India treat pleural effusion empirically, leading to delays in diagnosis, misdiagnosis and complications from wrong treatments.
