The trend of digital transformation fosters enterprise change, helps cultivate enterprises' own competitive advantages and is crucial to the advancement of sports enterprises' sustainable development in the framework of the emerging digital economy as a national strategy. However, there have been few empirical studies on the microlevel of digital transformation and its impact on the sustainability of sports organizations. Background: The present study assesses the frequency of injury in Europe's top-level judokas, during top-level competitions, and defines risk factors.

Methods: The members of the EJU Medical Commission collected injury data over the period of 2005 to 2020 using the EJU Injury Registration Form at Europe's top judoka tournaments.

Results: Over the 15 years of the study, 128 top-level competitions with 28,297 competitors were included; 699 injuries were registered.
