In this study, 58 patients who were diagnosed migraine and 51 healthy controls (HCs) were included. Patients diagnosed with migraine were divided into two groups: Group I (migraine without RLS) and Group II (migraine with RLS).

Purpose: This study aimed to evaluate the incidence of femoral neck shortening (FNS) after the treatment of displaced and non-displaced femoral neck fractures with closed or open reduction internal fixation, and determine the independent factors associated with this condition.

Method: The study included 81 patients who underwent internal fixation by closed or open reduction with multiple screws between 2013 and 2018 due to femoral neck fracture (FNF) and were followed up for at least 1 year. Patients were divided into two groups as with and without FNS.

External validation of Modified Seoul National University Renal Stone Complexity Score to predict outcome and complications of retrograde intrarenal surgery: a RIRSearch Group study.

Introduction: The Modified Seoul National University Renal Stone Complexity Score (S-ReSC) is a simple model based solely on stone location regardless of stone burden. The aims of this study were to validate S-ReSC for outcomes and complications of retrograde intrarenal surgery (RIRS) and to evaluate its predictive power against the stone burden.

Do Patients Really Have Pain with Quadriceps Fat Pad Edema?

Objective: To determine the appropriate MRI criteria for the radiological diagnosis of significant quadriceps fat pad edema, to investigate the relationship between these criteria and anterior knee pain, and to evaluate possible structural and positional factors in the etiology.

Material And Methods: In this retrospective case-control study, individuals with and without quadriceps fat pad edema in the knee MRIs taken between May 2016 and December 2018 were determined as the case and control groups, respectively, in a ratio of 1:1. The MRI criteria for significant quadriceps fat pad edema were set as 10 mm and above the anterior-posterior diameter of the quadriceps fat pad, posterior convexity, and an increased signal in the fat-suppressed proton density sequence.

Background/aims: Today, one of the ways to access medical information is the internet. Our objective was to develop a measurement tool to assess the quality of online medical videos.

Methods: Online videos covering a variety of subjects (COVID-19, low back pain, weight loss, hypertension, cancer, chest pain, vaccination, asthma, allergy, and cataracts) were evaluated using our Medical Quality Video Evaluation Tool (MQ-VET) by 25 medical and 25 non-medical professionals.

Background: Various scoring systems have been developed to determine the trauma severity and prognosis of patients following multiple blunt trauma (MBT). However, these scoring systems do not provide exactly the desired severity assessment. In recent years, serum concentration of many specific microRNAs (miRNAs), especially for head trauma, has been shown to play an important role in determining the diagnosis, severity, and prognosis of injury.

Effectiveness of hearing protection apparatus in preventing noise induced vestibular loss.

Hearing protection apparatus (HPAs) are frequently used to prevent the detrimental effect of noise on the hearing system. However, it is not known exactly whether wearing HPAs in workers protects the vestibular system. This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of wearing HPAs in preventing vestibular loss caused by noise.

As our hospitalization criteria changed in the second wave, we aimed to investigate whether a favorable outcome occurred in hospitalized COVID-19 patients with only severe/critical illness. Among 642 laboratory-confirmed hospitalized COVID-19 patients in the first wave and 1121 in the second wave, those who met World Health Organization (WHO) definitions for severe or critical illness on admission or during follow-up were surveyed.

The effectiveness of corticosteroid injection and splint in diabetic de Quervain's tenosynovitis patients: A single-blind, randomized clinical consort study.

Background: There is no clear information on the efficacy of corticosteroids, and splints in the treatment of patients with diabetes mellitus (DM). The aim of this study was to compare the outcomes of isolated corticosteroid injection therapy with splint treatment with corticosteroid injection in patients with and without DM.

Intramedullary nailing versus minimally invasive plating in the treatment of distal tibial extra-articular fractures: Comparison of cost analysis in Turkey.

Background: Minimally invasive percutaneous plate osteosynthesis (MIPO) and intramedullary nailing (IMN) are the two most commonly used methods for distal tibial extra-articular fractures; however, the ideal treatment is still on debate. The aim of this study was to compare MIPO and IMN in the treatment of distal tibial extra-articular fractures in terms of cost analysis according to health insurance records in Turkey.

Methods: The data of patients who underwent either MIPO or IMN for the treatment of distal tibial extra-articular fractures between 2013 and 2018 were analyzed in this retrospective study.

Histopathological, Radiological, and Demographic Factors Predicting the Response to Neoadjuvant Therapy for Rectal Cancer.

Background/aim: While the treatment for early stage rectal cancer is surgery, when a diagnosis is made at a locally advanced stage, it is recommended to start treatment with neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy. Therefore, it is important to determine which patients will respond best to neoadjuvant treatment.
