Purpose: Intrauterine device is one of the most preferred birth control method in the world. Being able to predict that the intrauterine device will not dislocate is very important in terms of preventing unwanted pregnancies. Here, we evaluated the role of uterocervical angle in displacement of intrauterine device and to determine whether it has a discriminative role for displacement.

The role of calcitonin gene-related peptide and substance P in the pathogenesis of dialysis headache.

Aim: The present study aims to establish the role of serum CGRP and SP levels in the disease pathophysiology in patients with dialysis headache not accompanied by primary or secondary headaches, and also whether there is a correlation between these vasoactive peptides and the severity of headache.

Method: This study was designed as prospective and multicenter. A total of 30 dialysis headache patients and 30 patients without headache as the control group in the Nephrology outpatient clinics which implement similar dialysis procedures were included in the study.

A rare complication of pericardiocentesis: Pneumopericardium.

Pneumopericardium is the presence of air in the pericardial sac. Pneumopericardium after pericardiocentesis has been rarely reported in the literature. In the present case, we report a patient who presented with tamponade physiology during COVID-19 and developed pneumopericardium after emergency pericardiocentesis.

Uterine-sparing laparoscopic lateral suspension in the treatment of pelvic organ prolapse.

Objective: Diffuse gliomas, the most common primary malignant brain tumors, have been classified by the World Health Organization as class II-IV gliomas. After 2016, two mutations in the promoter region of the telomerase reverse transcriptase (TERT) gene were identified in addition to the IDH, 1p / 19q, and ATRX status.

Objective: Exacerbations in patients with COPD may still be unpredictable, although the general risk factors have been well defined. We aimed to determine the role of a novel parameter, area under flow-volume loop, in predicting severe exacerbations.

Methods: In this single-centre retrospective cohort study, 81 COPD patients over 40 years of age with high grade of dyspnea (having a CAT score of ≥10) and a history of ≥1 moderate exacerbation in the previous year were included.

In this study, laboratorial parameters of hospitalized novel coronavirus (COVID-19) patients, who were complicated with severe pneumonia, were compared with the findings of cytokine storm developing in macrophage activation syndrome (MAS)/secondary hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (sHLH). Severe pneumonia occurred as a result of cytokine storm in some patients who needed intensive care unit (ICU), and it is aimed to determine the precursive parameters in this situation. Also in this study, the aim is to identify laboratory criteria that predict worsening disease and ICU intensification, as well as the development of cytokine storm.
