: Vitamin B complexes are frequently used in clinical practice for peripheral nerve trauma. However, there is a lack of scientific data on their effectiveness. This study aims to investigate the impact of the vitamin B complex on nerve recovery in a rat model of peripheral nerve paralysis.

Assessment of Acrylamide Levels by Advanced Molecularly Imprinted Polymer-Imprinted Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) Sensor Technology and Sensory Quality in Homemade Fried Potatoes.

This study evaluated acrylamide (AA) levels and various quality parameters in homemade fried potatoes prepared in different sizes by integrating principles from the Slow Food Movement with advanced sensor technology. To this aim, a surface plasmon resonance (SPR) sensor based on a molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) was first developed for the determination of AA in homemade fried potatoes at low levels, and the AA levels in the samples were established. First of all, monolayer formation of allyl mercaptane on the SPR chip surface was carried out to form double bonds that could polymerize on the chip surface.

Bipolar disorder is thought to determine the insights and coping attitudes that affect a patient's compliance with treatment, which can positively affect the prognosis of the disease. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between insight and coping attitudes in bipolar disorder patients. This descriptive study was carried out with 127 volunteer patients who were diagnosed with bipolar disorder according to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition (DSM-5) and who were in a euthymic state.

Methods: Video searches were conducted on the YouTube website using the keyword "usage of vaginal cones". A total of 52 videos were included in the current study.

Predicting malnutrition-based anemia in geriatric patients using machine learning methods.

Background: Anemia due to malnutrition may develop as a result of iron, folate and vitamin B12 deficiencies. This situation poses a higher risk of morbidity and mortality in the geriatric population than in other age groups. Therefore, early diagnosis of anemia and early initiation of treatment is very important.

Superior orbital fissure in children: shape analysis, measurements, and surgical importance.

This radiologic work aimed to display the alteration in the superior orbital fissure (SOF) morphology in the pediatric population with advancing age. This pediatric examination consisted of computed tomography images of 180 subjects (90 males/90 females) aged 1-18 years. The length (SOF-L) and width (SOF-W) of SOF were measured, and its shape was noted.

The effect of pulmonary rehabilitation on quality of life and functional capacity after chemotherapy in patients with small cell lung cancer.

Objective: This study aimed to investigate the effect of pulmonary rehabilitation on quality of life during the survival period in individuals with small cell lung cancer.

Methods: Thirty-six patients with a diagnosis of small cell lung cancer (SCLC), who completed chemotherapy treatment and were in the survival period, were included in the study. A pulmonary rehabilitation program was applied to individuals at 40-70% of submaximal heart rate, 3 days a week for 8 weeks.

Cultural Intelligence and Migration Intentions Among Nursing and Midwifery Students in Southeastern Region of Turkey: A Correlational Study.

Methods: Using a correlational design, data were collected from 804 students through the Student Descriptive Form, The Attitude Scale for Brain Drain in Nursing Students and the Cultural Intelligence Scale. The analysis was conducted using IBM SPSS Statistics and AMOS, employing structural equation modelling and analysis of variance.

Combination of Searches for Higgs Boson Pair Production in pp Collisions at sqrt[s]=13 TeV with the ATLAS Detector.

This Letter presents results from a combination of searches for Higgs boson pair production using 126-140  fb^{-1} of proton-proton collision data at sqrt[s]=13  TeV recorded with the ATLAS detector. At 95% confidence level (CL), the upper limit on the production rate is 2.9 times the standard model (SM) prediction, with an expected limit of 2.

Studies of the Energy Dependence of Diboson Polarization Fractions and the Radiation-Amplitude-Zero Effect in WZ Production with the ATLAS Detector.

This Letter presents the first study of the energy dependence of diboson polarization fractions in WZ→ℓνℓ^{'}ℓ^{'}(ℓ,ℓ^{'}=e,μ) production. The dataset used corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 140  fb^{-1} of proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV recorded by the ATLAS detector. Two fiducial regions with an enhanced presence of events featuring two longitudinally polarized bosons are defined.

This study aims to systematically review the existing literature and perform a meta-analysis to evaluate the prevalence of hyponatremia among Guillain Barre Syndrome (GBS) patients and its relationship with disease prognosis. We comprehensively searched PubMed, Embase, Medline, Web of Science, Science Direct, and the Cochrane Library databases from 1995 to 2024 for observational studies on the prevalence of hyponatremia in GBS. The meta-analysis followed the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA 2020) guidelines.

The Effect of Healthcare Professionals' Gender Perceptions on Their Reporting of Intimate Partner Violence Against Women.

The research was conducted as a descriptive, cross-sectional study aimed at determining the factors influencing the effect of healthcare professionals' gender perceptions on their reporting of intimate partner violence against women. The sample of the study consisted of 191 people working in the emergency departments of public hospitals affiliated to the GaziantepG Provincial Health Directorate. A personal information form, the Gender Perception Scale, and the Scale of Health Professionals' Intentions/Behaviors Regarding Reporting Intimate Partner Violence were used as data collection tools.

In this study, we aimed to determine the radioprotective effect of propolis, a natural and powerful antioxidant product, against oxidative liver damage caused by cranial irradiation. Thirty-two male albino Sprague-Dawley rats, divided into four groups, were designed as sham group, irradiation (IR) group, propolis plus IR, control group of propolis.

Objective: Weather conditions such as low air temperatures, low barometric pressure, and low wind speed have been linked to more cases of carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning. However, limited literature exists regarding the impact of air pollution. This study aims to investigate the relationship between outdoor air pollution and CO poisoning in 2 distinct cities in Turkey.

A cross-sectional study on the relationship between trauma levels and fear of happiness with sexual quality of life in women earthquake survivors.

To evaluate the relationship between post-earthquake trauma levels and fear of happiness with sexual quality of life in women who had survived the earthquake. The study revealed that as the level of post-earthquake trauma and fear of happiness increased, so too did the quality of sexual life. These findings indicate that traumatic events strengthen the bonds between couples and positively affect the quality of sexual life.

Development and characterization of gelatin-based biodegradable films incorporated with pistachio shell hemicellulose.

The gelatin and glycerol are chosen because of their functional properties, which make it extensively used in food industry. The film composition was defined after a statistical optimization by central composite face-centered design and response surface methodology.
