Celiac disease is a chronic inflammatory condition that is not well understood in relation to the microbiome. Our objective was to demonstrate changes in the microbiota and the relationships between nutrients in children with celiac disease (CD) who followed a gluten-free diet (GFD). A group of 11 children who were recently diagnosed with CD, ranging in age from 3 to 12, were monitored for a period of 6 months.

Physical diseases, deep sleep, familial predisposition, psychological reasons, separation from parents, fear, traumatic experiences, sibling jealousy, inadequate-irregular toilet training are effective in the emergence of NE.

Objective: The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence of NE in 66-72-month-old children attending kindergarten, to examine the variables associated with NE, and to identify the feelings, thoughts and experiences of enuretic children.

Acute pancreatitis (AP) is a clinical condition that arises acutely in the pancreas through various inflammatory pathways due to multiple causes. Turkish Society of Gastroenterology Pancreas Working Group developed comprehensive guidance statements regarding the management of AP that include its epidemiology, etiology, clinical presentation, diagnostic criteria, disease severity, treatment, prognosis, local and systemic complications. The statements were developed through literature review, deliberation, and consensus opinion.

This study aimed to compare the effectiveness of two different low-level laser therapies (LLLT) as alternatives to medical treatment to reduce pain and improve the quality of life in patients with TN. A total of 45 patients were randomly divided into 3 groups.

Hydroxychloroquine Mitigates Cytokine Storm and Prevents Critical Illness Neuromyopathy in a Rat Sepsis Model.

It is known that critical illness and associated neuromuscular problems begin to appear in patients hospitalized in the intensive care unit (ICU) for more than a week. The goal of this study was to research the role of hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) in the treatment of cytokine storm and critical illness neuromyopathy (CINM) in a rat sepsis model. Rats were assigned into three groups, and a feces intraperitoneal-injection group (FIP) procedure was carried out on 30 rats to induce a model of sepsis for critical illness polyneuromyopathy (CINM).

Long-term outcomes of surgical management in post-intubation tracheal stenosis: a retrospective analysis of tracheal resection and reconstruction.

Post-intubation tracheal stenosis (PITS) is a serious complication of prolonged intubation, often requiring surgical intervention. This study aims to present the long-term outcomes of patients with PITS who underwent tracheal resection and reconstruction, as well as to discuss the efficacy of these surgical methods in comparison to stenting. This retrospective study included patients treated for PITS at our center between October 2005 and October 2022.

In this study, it was aimed to assess the microstructural changes in the main central auditory pathway in cases with subjective tinnitus. In total, 101 subjects (52 cases with bilateral subjective non-pulsatile tinnitus and 49 healthy cases as the control group) were included in the study. Participants underwent pure tone audiogram and Diffusion Tensor Imaging-Magnetic Resonance Imaging (DTI-MRI) examination with a 3 Tesla MRI device.
