Background: Gilteritinib is a commonly used targeted drug for acute myeloid leukemia (AML), but the emergence of gilteritinib resistance greatly reduces the therapeutic effect. RING finger protein 38 (RNF38), a protein with RING Finger domain and E3 ubiquitin ligase activity, has been implicated in tumorigenesis and drug resistance. However, the role and mechanism of RNF38 in the gilteritinib resistance of AML remains unclear.

Inflammation is a complex physiological response involving various cellular and molecular events. Sulfur dioxide (SO), which is usually in the form of HSO and SO under physiological conditions, plays a crucial role in the regulation of inflammation and diseases. Frequency upconversion luminescence (FUCL) can realize the unique anti-Stokes process of long-wavelength excitation to short-wavelength emission; thus, it is a highly promising optical method for imaging due to its deep tissue penetration, low photo-damage, .

Plant size is closely linked to its leaf trait characteristics, which are essential for determining its form and function. These relationships constitute a fundamental component of the global spectrum of plant diversity. Despite this, the size-trait relationships in coastal mangroves have often been overlooked, with a common assumption that they would mirror those found in terrestrial tropical trees.

Background: The mechanism underlying human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells (hUC-MSCs) regulating the stability of atherosclerotic plaque was explored by establishing mice models of atherosclerosis induced by a high-fat diet and hUC-MSCs intervention.
Methods: The ApoE mice atherosclerosis model was constructed using a high-fat diet, and mice were divided into a normal diet group (ND), high-fat diet group (HFD), hUC-MSCs treatment group (HFDM), while the blank control (BC) consisted of C57BL/6J mice. After successful establishment of the model, the feces, hearts, and aorta of mice were collected.

Since the concept of metal ion stimulation-mediated chemodynamic therapy was proposed by Bu and Shi's group in 2016, increasing attention has been directed toward the fabrication of efficient, safe and stable Fenton/Fenton-like catalysts to advance clinical translation. In particular, metal-based complexes with inherent metal catalytic centers have received extensive attention as potential alternatives/complements for traditional CDT agents. Among them, copper-based complexes, which possess excellent redox properties, extensive adaptability and abundant availability, enable the efficient generation of ROS through Fenton-like reactions in CDT, thereby causing oxidative damage to lipids, proteins, and DNA in cancer cells.

Based on the experimentally reported stable and conductive two-dimensional covalent organic frameworks with copper phthalocyanine (CuPc) as building block and cyan substituted phenyl as connector (CuCOF-CN) as an electrocatalyst for CO reduction reaction (RR), first principle calculations were performed on CuCOF-CN and its analog with the CN being replaced by H (CuCOF). Comparatively studied on the crystal structures, electronic properties, and CORR performance of the two catalysts found that CuCOF has reduced crystal unit size, more positive charge on Cu and CuPc segments, smaller band gap, and lower reaction barrier for CO RR than CuCOF-CN. CuCOF is proposed to be good potential electrocatalyst with good environment friendliness.

Background: Piercing-sucking insects secrete diverse repertoires of effectors into their hosts to weaken host defenses and promote infestation. The Asian citrus psyllid, Diaphorina citri Kuwayama, is the most destructive insect pest in citrus orchards because of its role as a vector for the huanglongbing pathogen, Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus (CLas). However, specific effector proteins and their functions in D.

Due to the advantages of low phonon energy, structural diversity, excellent thermal stability and optical properties, fluoride compounds have sparked considerable research attention. On this foundation, a novel red-emitting phosphor, KScF:Mn (abbreviated as KSF:Mn), was successfully designed and synthesized via a conventional co-precipitation process. The phosphor was comprehensively analyzed in terms of its phase, structure, morphology, elemental composition, and optical performance.

Uranium recovery is of great significance for managing environmental contamination, improving the utilization rate of uranium resources, reducing the pressure of nuclear fuel supply and building a closed-loop nuclear fuel cycle system. However, most of the current adsorbents are limited in practical application due to their poor selectivity in highly acidic environments (pH = 1). Here, we present a powerful uranium recovery strategy with combined ligand complexation, chemical reduction and photoreduction based on metal-free cyclization-modulated conjugated microporous polymers (CMPs).

The collective behavior of bacteria is regulated by quorum sensing (QS). Autoinducer-2 (AI-2) is a common QS signal that regulates the behavior of both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. Despite the plethora of processes described to be influenced by AI-2 in diverse Gram-negative bacteria, the AI-2-regulated processes in Bacilli are relatively unexplored.

Single transition metal (TM) atom embedded in nitrogen-doped carbon materials with M-N-C configuration have emerged as a promising class of electrocatalysts for electrochemical CO reduction (CORR). However, at high TM atom densities, a comprehensive understanding of the active site structure and reaction mechanisms remains a significant challenge, yet it is crucial for enhancing CORR performance. In this work, we use first-principles calculations to investigate the electrocatalytic performance of Ni-N sites for CO2 reduction to CO, co-assisted by neighboring TM atoms and a Fe nanoparticle.

A photocatalytic three-component cascade reaction of readily available enaminones, hydrazines, and CBr for the synthesis of bromo-substituted pyrazoles in one pot has been demonstrated. This strategy involves intermolecular C-N/C-Br bond formation and represents an efficient approach to the construction of 4-bromo-substituted pyrazoles with high regioselectivity, broad substrate scope, good functional group tolerance, convenient operation, and mild reaction conditions. Mechanistic investigations show that this reaction proceeds via intermolecular cyclization of enaminones with hydrazines, followed by a regioselective bromination of pyrazoles using CBr as a "Br" source.
