Sulfonamides are valuable structural building blocks, bioactives, and pharmaceuticals. While there have been great achievements in the sulfonamidation of alkyl and alkenyl carbon, the sulfonamidation of alkynyl carbon has not been studied. Herein, we report the synthesis of -benzylated sulfonamides from alkoxy aryl alkynes and sulfonamides enabled by Ir-catalyzed reductive sulfonamidation using HCOH as a hydrogen donor.

β- and γ-Amino alcohols are among the most significant structural motifs in pharmacologically active molecules and pharmaceuticals. Herein, a protocol for the construction of β- and γ-amino alcohols reductive amination and transfer hydrogenation of diketones with aromatic amines is described. This reaction is performed by utilizing iridium complexes as catalysts and HCOH as a hydrogen donor to deliver a library of β- and γ-amino alcohols under mild and operationally simple conditions.

Parkinson's disease (PD) is a prevalent neurodegenerative disorder caused by degeneration of dopaminergic neurons, originating from the substantia nigra pars compacta, and characterized by motor symptoms such as bradykinesia, muscle rigidity, resting tremor, and postural instability, as well as non-motor symptoms such as anxiety, depression, reduced sense of smell, cognitive impairment, and visual dysfunction. Emerging evidence highlights the retina as a promising site for non-invasive exploration of PD pathology, due to its shared embryonic origin with the central nervous system. In recent years, with the development of ophthalmic technology, the acquisition of retinal-related function and structure has gradually become mature.

The fibrogenic conversion of satellite cells contributes to the atrophy and fibrosis of skeletal muscle, playing a significant role in the pathogenesis of age-related sarcopenia. Melatonin, a hormone secreted by the pineal gland, exhibits anti-aging and anti-fibrotic effects in various conditions. However, the effect of melatonin on satellite cell fate and age-related sarcopenia remains under-explored.

Alzheimer's disease (AD) is the most common cause of dementia. The two major hallmarks of this disease are extracellular amyloid plaques and intracellular neurofibrillary tangles in the brain, accompanied by loss of neurons and synapses. The plaques and tangles mainly consist of amyloid-β (Aβ) and tau protein, respectively.

Background And Purpose: Neurodevelopmental disorders (NDDs) are characterized by abnormalities in brain development and neurobehaviors, including autism. The maternal-fetal interface (MFI) is a highly specialized tissue through which maternal factors affect fetal brain development. However, limited research exists on restoring and maintaining MFI homeostasis and its potential impact on NDDs.

Accurate determination of elemental concentrations in uric acid (UA) stones is crucial for understanding their formation process. However, the lack of matrix-matched calibration standards has limited the application of laser ablation-inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry (LA-ICP-MS) in this field. This study addresses this limitation by preparing a synthetic UA precipitate (UA-1) doped with 17 elements using a recrystallization method.

In this work, a novel electrochemical sensor based on cobalt tungstate/multi-walled carbon nanotube (CoWO/MWCNT) nanocomposites has been used to detect chlorpromazine hydrochloride (CPZ). The CoWO/MWCNT nanocomposite was obtained by solvothermal technology and ultrasonic method and analyzed using different characterization techniques such as scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffractometry (XRD), energy-dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The electrochemical behavior of CoWO/MWCNT/GCE was explored using cyclic voltammetry (CV).

Urological malignant tumors pose a significant threat to human health, with a high incidence rate each year. Prostate cancer, bladder cancer, and renal cell carcinoma are among the most prevalent and extensively researched urological malignancies. Despite advancements in research, the prognosis for these tumors remains unfavorable due to late detection, postoperative recurrence, and treatment resistance.

Background: Gilteritinib is a commonly used targeted drug for acute myeloid leukemia (AML), but the emergence of gilteritinib resistance greatly reduces the therapeutic effect. RING finger protein 38 (RNF38), a protein with RING Finger domain and E3 ubiquitin ligase activity, has been implicated in tumorigenesis and drug resistance. However, the role and mechanism of RNF38 in the gilteritinib resistance of AML remains unclear.

Absent in melanoma 2 (AIM2) serves as an intracellular nucleic acid sensor that predominantly detects double-stranded DNA (dsDNA) within the cells. This detection initiates the assembly of inflammasome and activates the inflammasome signaling cascade, resulting in the production of inflammatory mediators and the cleavage of Gasdermins. Consequently, these processes culminate in inflammatory responses and pyroptotic cell death.

Ischemic stroke (IS) is a severe and sudden cerebrovascular event, associated with notably high rates of mortality and morbidity. The process of apoptosis, a genetically orchestrated form of programmed cell death, is divided into two pathways: intrinsic and extrinsic. The intricate involvement of long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) in the pathobiology of IS, particularly in modulating neuronal apoptosis, is a burgeoning area of research.
