Background: Several observational studies have suggested that type 2 diabetes (T2D) is a risk factor for skin cancer, and antidiabetic drugs may reduce skin cancer risk. Nevertheless, the findings remain ambiguous. This Mendelian randomization (MR) study aimed to investigate the causal association of T2D with skin cancer and evaluate the potential impact of antidiabetic drug targets on skin cancer.

Although papillary thyroid cancer (PTC) has a good prognosis, its recurrence rate is high and remains a core concern in the clinic. Molecular factors contributing to different recurrence risks (RRs) remain poorly defined. Here, we perform an integrative proteogenomic and metabolomic characterization of 102 Chinese PTC patients with different RRs.

Background: Colorectal cancer (CRC) is one of the most common malignancies, and pyroptosis exerts an immunoregulatory role in CRC. Although the location of the primary tumor is a prognostic factor for patients with CRC, the mechanisms of pyroptosis in left- and right-sided CRC remain unclear.
Methods: Expression and clinical data were collected from The Cancer Genome Atlas and Gene Expression Omnibus databases.

Recently, the morbidity and mortality of pancreatic cancer have been increasing year by year. Because of its deep anatomical location and because most presented patients often suffer from abdominal pain or jaundice, it is difficult to diagnose pancreatic cancer at an early stage, leading to late clinical stage and poor prognosis. integrated positron emission tomography/magnetic resonance imaging (PET/MRI) fusion imaging not only has the characteristics of high resolution and multi-parameter imaging of MRI, but also combines the high sensitivity and the semi-quantitative characteristics of PET.

The purpose of this study was to uncover potential diagnostic indicators of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), evaluate the function of immune cells in the pathogenesis of the disease, and find innovative treatment targets and medicines with the potential to enhance prognosis. Gene Expression Omnibus was utilized to acquire the PAH datasets. We recognized differentially expressed genes (DEGs) and investigated their functions utilizing R software.

Coronary artery disease (CAD) is a heterogeneous disorder with high morbidity, mortality, and healthcare costs, representing a major burden on public health. Here, we aimed to improve our understanding of the genetic drivers of ferroptosis and necroptosis and the clustering of gene expression in CAD in order to develop novel personalized therapies to slow disease progression. CAD datasets were obtained from the Gene Expression Omnibus.

Pancreatic cancer is one of the most malignant gastrointestinal tumors, and it is of great significance to explore the molecular mechanism of its progression and find new biological therapeutic targets. CIRBP is a cold-induced protein that plays a key role in many physiological and pathological processes, but its role in pancreatic cancer is still unclear. The expression of CIRBP in pancreatic cancer tissues was slightly lower than that in normal tissues, and the high expression of CIRBP was beneficial to survival.

This study examines the hepatoprotective activity of naringin loaded solid nanoparticles (NRG-SLNs) and compared with free naringin (FNRG) against aflatoxin B1 (AFB1) induced hepatocellular carcinoma. The liver's self-healing ability was studied using a self-recovery group that received no therapy. Following AFB1 therapy, rats were given NRG-SLNs produced using the ion-gelation technique.

Despite the advances in the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), the prognosis of HCC patients remains unsatisfactory due to postsurgical recurrence and treatment resistance. Therefore, it is important to reveal the mechanisms underlying HCC and identify potential therapeutic targets against HCC, which could facilitate the development of novel therapies. Based on 12 HCC samples and 12 paired paracancerous normal tissues, we identified differentially expressed mRNAs and lncRNAs using the "limma" package in R software.

Long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) Cancer Susceptibility 2 (CASC2) has been proved to contribute to the development of cancers. However, the mechanism behind the action of CASC2 in thyroid cancer is not quite clear. We demonstrated that CASC2 was downregulated in thyroid cancer.

Hepatocellular carcinoma is known to be a common predominant cancer in adults, especially in eastern countries. Immune response and cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) have significant influences on tumor development. However, the interaction between CAFs and immunotherapy is unclear in hepatocellular carcinoma.
