Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the effect of crystallization and finish line curvature on the integrity of lithium disilicate crowns fabricated by using partially crystallized (P) and fully crystallized (F) blocks.
Materials And Methods: Forty-eight lithium disilicate crowns were fabricated based on the designated lithium disilicate blocks and finish line curvatures. The specimens were divided into four groups (n = 12 each): P block with a curved finish line (PC), P block with a straight finish line (PS), F block with a curved finish line (FC), and F block with a straight finish line (FS).

This review delves into the impact of benzo(a)pyrene (B(a)P), which is a toxic and pervasive polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) and known carcinogen, on the human health risk from a gut microbiome perspective. We retrieved the relevant articles on each PAH and summarized the reporting to date, with a particular focus on benzo(a)pyrene, which has been reported to have a high risk of gut microbiome-related harm. B(a)P exposure can compromise the homeostasis of the gut microbiota, leading to dysbiosis, a state of microbial imbalance.

In seasonally stratified marine environments, the dynamics of benthic-pelagic coupling plays a crucial role in shaping food web structures and fisheries production. We examined fish food web structures across three distinct shelf areas in the Southern Sea of Korea (SSK) during both stratified (summer) and mixed (spring) water conditions using stable isotopes of carbon (δC) and nitrogen (δN). In spring, fish communities exhibited a broader range of δC values compared with summer, indicating more diverse feeding strategies.

Objectives: This study aims to identify patterns and to describe the clinical course of delayed adverse tissue responses in patients who underwent orthognathic osteotomy with biodegradable osteofixation.
Patients And Methods: Through a retrospective review of cases between 2013 and 2020, we identified three patients who underwent bimaxillary osteotomy and fixation with unsintered-hydroxyapatite/poly-L lactic acid (u-HA/PLLA) devices, after which they developed delayed inflammation. These lesions were treated with drainage and/or removal of the devices.

Objectives: To evaluate the complementary mechanical properties of dental ceramics using edge chipping resistance (Rea) and flexural strength before and after thermomechanical aging.
Material And Methods: Computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing of ceramic materials, including zirconia (ZR), lithium disilicate (LS2), and resin nanoceramics (RNC), were evaluated. Specimens for flexural strength testing were fabricated with dimensions of 3 × 4 × 25 mm, with 30 specimens per group.
