Cardiac diffusion weighted-magnetic resonance imaging (DWI) has slowly developed due to its technical difficulties. However, this limitation could be overcome by advanced techniques, including a stimulated echo technique and a gradient moment nulling technique. This study aimed to develop and validate a high-order DWI sequence, using echo-planar imaging (EPI) and second-order motion-compensated (M012) diffusion gradient applied to cardiac imaging in small-sized animals with fast heart and respiratory rates, and to investigate the feasibility of cardiac DWI, diagnosing acute myocardial injury in isoproterenol-induced myocardial injury rat models.

Background Early-stage unilateral moyamoya disease (MMD) is difficult to discriminate from isolated intracranial atherosclerotic stenosis, and identification of contralateral progression may aid in the diagnosis of MMD. The RNF213 (ring finger protein 213) R4810K variant is a strong genetic susceptibility factor for MMD; however, the role of contralateral progression in unilateral MMD is unknown. Methods and Results Patients who had undergone R4810K genotyping with suspected unilateral MMD between January 2017 and August 2021 from 2 tertiary university hospitals were retrospectively reviewed.

Objective: To compare the efficacy and safety of MT10107 (Coretox) with those of onabotulinum toxin A (Botox) in patients with poststroke upper limb spasticity DESIGN: Prospective, randomized, double-blind, active drug-controlled, multicenter, phase III clinical trial.
Setting: Seven university hospitals in the Republic of Korea.
Participants: Patients (N=220) with poststroke upper limb spasticity.
Background Rapid coronary plaque progression (RPP) is associated with incident cardiovascular events. To date, no method exists for the identification of individuals at risk of RPP at a single point in time. This study integrated coronary computed tomography angiography-determined qualitative and quantitative plaque features within a machine learning (ML) framework to determine its performance for predicting RPP.

Pseudomyxoma Peritonei (PMP) and Peritoneal Mesothelioma (PM) are both rare peritoneal malignancies. Currently, affected patients may be treated with Cytoreductive Surgery and Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy offering long-term survival or even cure in selected patients. However, many issues regarding the optimal treatment strategy are currently under debate.

Patients undergoing carotid artery stenting (CAS) who show low responsiveness to clopidogrel may have a higher risk of peri-procedural embolic events. This study aimed to compare the effectiveness and safety of clopidogrel and ticlopidine plus in clopidogrel-resistant patients undergoing CAS. In this multi-center, randomized, controlled trial, we used platelet reactivity test to select patients undergoing CAS who showed clopidogrel resistance, and compared treatments using clopidogrel and ticlopidine plus ginkgo.

Data on sex differences in clinical outcome for PAD patients undergoing EVT have been limited, and studies have produced conflicting results. This study sought to compare midterm clinical outcomes between women and men in a large population of patients with PAD undergoing EVT .

Background: Peritoneal metastasis from biliary carcinoma (PMC) is associated with poor prognosis when treated with chemotherapy.
Objective: To evaluate the impact on survival of cytoreductive surgery (CRS) and hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC), and compare with conventional palliative chemotherapy for patients with PMC.
Material And Methods: A prospective multicenter international database was retrospectively searched to identify all patients with PMC treated with a potentially curative CRS/HIPEC (CRS/HIPEC group).

Introduction: Peritoneal metastasis (PM) of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) without distant spread are rare. The related prognosis is poor without standard treatment available. The role of cytoreduction surgery (CRS) and hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) is poorly documented.

Trehalose 6,6'-dimycolate (TDM), or cord factor, is a crucial stimulus of immune responses during Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection. Although TDM has immuno-stimulatory properties, including adjuvant activity and the ability to induce granuloma formation, the mechanisms underlying these remain unknown. We hypothesized that TDM stimulates transendothelial migration of neutrophils, which are the first immune cells to infiltrate the tissue upon infection.

Unlabelled: The aims of this study were to report functional outcomes of salvage procedures for patients with cerebral palsy (CP) who have chronic dislocation of the hip using validated scoring systems, and to compare the results of three surgical techniques. We reviewed 37 patients retrospectively. The mean age at the time of surgery was 12.
