Background: Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is characterized by the absence of expression of the estrogen receptor and the progesterone receptor by immunohistochemistry and human epidermal growth factor receptor overexpression absence either by immunohistochemistry or absence of amplification by fluorescence in-situ hybridization. TNBCs tend to have rapid growth when compared to other subtypes of breast cancer. TNBC is associated with higher histologic grade and more advanced disease at presentation.

Background: Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP) is a proliferative retinal vascular disease occurring in the retina of premature infants and is the main cause of childhood blindness. Nowadays anti-VEGF and retinal photocoagulation are mainstream treatments for ROP, but they develop a variety of complications. Hydrogen (H) is widely considered as a useful neuroprotective and antioxidative therapeutic method for hypoxic-ischemic disease without toxic effects.

Periodontitis and oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) are prevalent oral diseases with distinct etiologies, yet they share certain molecular and biological characteristics. Gene expression datasets from the gene expression omnibus (GEO) repository (GSE30784 for OSCC and GSE10334 for periodontitis) were analyzed. Data preprocessing and differential gene expression analysis using GEO2R identified common differentially expressed genes (DEGs), and FunRich software facilitated the construction of a protein-protein interaction (PPI) network on the STRING database.

Introduction Head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) is a significant health concern in India, with around one million new cases annually. The prevalence of HNSCC is notably high in Asia, especially in India, due to habits like tobacco chewing, betel nut usage, and alcohol consumption. Treatment typically involves a combination of surgery, radiation, chemotherapy, and biological therapy, aiming for tumor control while preserving function and quality of life.

Super-bioavailable itraconazole (SB ITZ) overcomes the limitations of conventional itraconazole (CITZ) such as interindividual variability and reduced bioavailability. It has been approved for systemic mycoses in Australia and Europe as 50 mg and the USA as 65 mg and in India as 50 mg, 65 mg, 100 mg, and 130 mg. However, data on the ideal dose and duration of SB ITZ treatment in managing dermatophytosis are insufficient.

Background: Wasabi, a Brassicaceae member, is well-known for its unique pungent and hot flavor which is produced from glucosinolate (GSL) degradation. Myrosinase (MYR) is a principle enzyme catalyzing the primary conversion of GSLs to GSL hydrolysis products (GHPs) which is responsible for plant defense system and food quality. Due to the limited information in relation to MYRs present in wasabi (Wasabia japonica M.

Background: Single-session stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) or surgical resection alone for brain metastases larger than 2 cm results in unsatisfactory local control. We conducted a phase I trial for brain metastases(>2 cm) to determine the safety of preoperative SRS at escalating doses.
Methods: Radiosurgery dose was escalated at 3 Gy increments for 3 cohorts based on maximum tumor dimension starting at: 18 Gy for >2-3 cm, 15 Gy for >3-4 cm, and 12 Gy for >4-6 cm.

Background: A triplet chemotherapy regimen of docetaxel, cisplatin, and 5-fluorouracil (TPF) is used to treat head and neck squamous cell carcinoma; however, it is toxic to bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs). We previously demonstrated that Ganoderma spore lipid (GSL) protect BMSCs against cyclophosphamide toxicity. In this study, we investigated the protective effects of GSL against TPF-induced BMSCs and hematopoietic damage.

Introduction: "Laparoscopic Total Extraperitoneal (TEP)" repair of hernia is a common surgical procedure for treating groin hernias. This study focused on the long-standing assessment of "quality of life (QoL)," chronic pain, and recurrence to compare the effectiveness of TEP hernia surgery with "mesh fixation (MF)" against "nonfixation (NF)" in patients who are obese with a BMI of 35 kgs/m2 or higher.
Methods: In this study's randomized controlled experiment, 73 obese individuals with groin hernias underwent total extraperitoneal hernia repair with either MF (n = 35) or NF (n = 38).

Background: Almost 70% of women residing in urban areas and 48% of women in rural areas use sanitary napkins in India. According to menstrual health alliance India (MHAI), single sanitary pad will take about 500-800 years to decompose as the plastic used in manufacturing is nonbiodegradable and causes severe noxious effects contributing to global warming through the production of planet warming fuels which eventually have severe impact on environment sustainability. Hence, the study was undertaken to contribute the evidence for the "Clean and Green India".
