Purpose: To develop an approach to the diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer using one platform for fusion biopsy, followed by focal gland ablation utilizing permanent prostate brachytherapy with and without a rectal spacer.
Material And Methods: Prostate phantoms containing multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging (mpMRI) regions of interest (ROI) underwent fusion biopsy, followed by image co-registration of positive sites to a treatment planning brachytherapy program. A partial hemi-ablation and both posterior lobes using a Mick applicator and linked stranded seeds were simulated.

We evaluated the prognostic value of hypoalbuminemia in context of various biomarkers at baseline, including clinical, genomic, transcriptomic, and blood-based markers, in patients with metastatic melanoma treated with anti-PD-1 monotherapy or anti-PD-1/anti-CTLA-4 combination therapy (n = 178). An independent validation cohort (n = 79) was used to validate the performance of hypoalbuminemia compared to serum LDH (lactate dehydrogenase) levels. Optimal treatment in patients with refractory or relapsed peripheral T-cell lymphomas (R/R T-NHLs) is unknown. In this population-based study, outcomes in R/R peripheral T-cell lymphoma not otherwise specified (PTCL NOS), angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma (AITL), and anaplastic lymphoma kinase-positive (ALK+) and ALK-negative (ALK-) anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL) were evaluated. Patients with PTCL NOS, AITL, ALK+ ALCL, and ALK- ALCL (≥18 years) diagnosed in 2014 to 2019 were identified using the Netherlands Cancer Registry.

Introduction: The OligoMetastatic Esophagogastric Cancer (OMEC) project aims to provide clinical practice guidelines for the definition, diagnosis, and treatment of esophagogastric oligometastatic disease (OMD).
Methods: Guidelines were developed according to AGREE II and GRADE principles. Guidelines were based on a systematic review (OMEC-1), clinical case discussions (OMEC-2), and a Delphi consensus study (OMEC-3) by 49 European expert centers for esophagogastric cancer.

Purpose: Patients with colorectal peritoneal metastases (PM) treated with cytoreductive surgery (CRS) and hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) are at high risk of recurrent disease. Understanding where and why recurrences occur is the first step in finding solutions to reduce recurrence rates. Although diffusion-weighted (DW) MRI is not routinely used in the follow-up of CRC patients, it has a clear advantage over CT in detecting the location and spread of (recurrent) PM.

Peritoneal metastases (PMs) from colorectal cancer (CRC) respond poorly to treatment and are associated with unfavorable prognosis. For example, the addition of hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) to cytoreductive surgery in resectable patients shows limited benefit, and novel treatments are urgently needed. The majority of CRC-PMs represent the CMS4 molecular subtype of CRC, and here we queried the vulnerabilities of this subtype in pharmacogenomic databases to identify novel therapies.

Recently, the European Society of Breast Imaging recommended offering MRI screening to women with extremely dense breasts, but the debate on whether to implement it in breast cancer screening programs is ongoing. Insight into the participant experience and willingness to re-attend is important for this discussion.

Background: Many gastric cancer patients in Western countries are diagnosed as metastatic with a median overall survival of less than twelve months using standard chemotherapy. Innovative treatments, like targeted therapy or immunotherapy, have recently proved to ameliorate prognosis, but a general agreement on managing oligometastatic disease has yet to be achieved. An international multi-disciplinary workshop was held in Bertinoro, Italy, in November 2022 to verify whether achieving a consensus on at least some topics was possible.

Aims: The objective of this study was to develop a two-year overall survival model for inoperable stage I-III non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients using routine radiation oncology data over a federated (distributed) learning network and evaluate the potential of decision support for curative versus palliative radiotherapy.
Methods: A federated infrastructure of data extraction, de-identification, standardisation, image analysis, and modelling was installed for seven clinics to obtain clinical and imaging features and survival information for patients treated in 2011-2019. A logistic regression model was trained for the 2011-2016 curative patient cohort and validated for the 2017-2019 cohort.

Patients And Methods: Patients with solid, treatment-refractory, microsatellite-stable tumors were enrolled in cohort A: breast cancer cohort harboring a TML of 140 to 290, cohort B: tumor-agnostic cohort harboring a TML of 140 to 290, and cohort C: tumor-agnostic cohort harboring a TML >290. Patients received pembrolizumab 200 mg every 3 weeks.
