Awareness Regarding Antimicrobial Resistance and Antibiotic Prescribing Behavior among Physicians: Results from a Nationwide Cross-Sectional Survey in India.

(1) Background: Understanding the physicians' knowledge, attitudes, and antimicrobial prescribing behavior is a crucial step towards designing strategies for the optimal use of these agents. (2) Methods: A cross-sectional online survey was conducted among clinicians across India between May and July 2022 using a self-administered questionnaire in English comprising 35 questions pertaining to demographic characteristics, knowledge, attitude, and practices domains. (3) Results: A total of 544 responses were received from 710 physicians contacted.

Heterotaxy pattern associated with sinus node dysfunction in an adult: A case report.

The aim of this clinical report is to highlight the variability of anatomical findings associated with polysplenia pattern.

Risk factors for COVID-19 associated mucormycosis in India: A case control study.

Unlabelled: The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic had led to an increase in a surge of mucormycosis in COVID-19 patients, especially in India. Diabetes and irrational usage of corticosteroids to treat COVID-19 were some of the factors implicated for COVID-19-associated mucormycosis (CAM). We designed this case-control study to identify risk factors for mucormycosis in COVID-19 patients.

Hyperferritinemia and the Extent of Mucormycosis in COVID-19 Patients.

Introduction Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) disease attributed to severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) has shown associations with various fungal opportunistic infections such as mucormycosis, invasive candidiasis, and aspergillosis, which have contributed to the mortality of the disease. In India, the incidence of mucormycosis had risen rapidly during the second wave. There is ample literature demonstrating the role of iron in the pathogenesis of mucormycosis.

Evaluation of Skill-oriented Training on Enhanced Syndromic Case Management (ESCM) of Reproductive Tract Infections / Sexually Transmitted Infections (RTI/STIs) of Care Providers from Three-tier Health-care System of Gujarat.

Background: Enhanced syndromic case management (ESCM) deals with reproductive tract and sexually transmitted infections. Capacity building of service providers not only boosts the program but also inputs from them improve the quality of services.

Objectives: To (1) identify problem areas from providers' perspectives and the gaps in knowledge and application and (2) assess the gains (if any) through pre and post-training evaluation.

Clinico - diagnostic and therapeutic relevance of computed tomography scan of brain in children with partial seizures.

Background: Therapeutic relevance of computed tomography (CT) in children with partial seizures is reported to be remarkably low (1-2%). However, in the developing countries where infections involving the nervous system are common, routine CT scan of brain may help in finding treatable causes of seizures.
