Background: Complete revascularization improves cardiovascular outcomes compared with culprit-only revascularization in patients with acute myocardial infarction ([MI]; ST-segment-elevation MI or non-ST-segment-elevation MI) and multivessel coronary artery disease. However, the timing of complete revascularization (single-setting versus staged revascularization) is uncertain. The aim was to compare the outcomes of single-setting complete, staged complete, and culprit vessel-only revascularization in patients with acute MI and multivessel disease.

With the annual global electricity production exceeding 30,000 TWh, the safe transmission of electric power has been heavily relying on SF, the most potent industrial greenhouse gas. While promising SF alternatives have been proposed, their compatibilities with materials used in gas-insulated equipment (GIE) must be thoroughly studied. This is particularly true as the emerging SF alternatives generally leverage their relatively higher reactivity to achieve lower global warming potentials (GWPs).

The uncovering of protein-RNA interactions enables a deeper understanding of RNA processing. Recent multiplexed crosslinking and immunoprecipitation (CLIP) technologies such as antibody-barcoded eCLIP (ABC) dramatically increase the throughput of mapping RNA binding protein (RBP) binding sites. However, multiplex CLIP datasets are multivariate, and each RBP suffers non-uniform signal-to-noise ratio.

To support the work of the Global Conservation Consortium for and update the checklist in the World Flora Online (WFO), we have curated the taxonomic backbone in the WFO by expanding it to include updated nomenclatural information from the International Plant Name Index, missing names present in the World Checklist of Vascular Plants (WCVP), the Botanical Database of Southern Africa (BODATSA), and from the "International register of heather names" database, a data source not readily available online. The result is the most robust database of names to date, including 851 species, 111 subspecies, 244 varieties, and 2787 synonyms, which is a reliable reference for initiatives such as the identification aid, conservation prioritisation, and gap analyses. We disambiguate common orthographic variants within the database and present an overview of these.

Nanomaterials shaped as rings are interesting nanostructures with control of the materials properties at the nanoscale. Nanoring plasmonic resonators provide tunable optical resonances in the near-infrared with application in sensing. Fabrication of nanorings can be carried out via top-down approaches based on electron beam lithography with high control of the ring size parameters but at high cost.

Despite their small and simple structure compared with their hosts, virus particles can cause severe harm and even mortality in highly evolved species such as humans. A comprehensive quantitative biophysical understanding of intracellular virus replication mechanisms could aid in preparing for future virus pandemics. By elucidating the relationship between the form and function of intracellular structures from the host cell and viral components, it is possible to identify possible targets for direct antiviral agents and potent vaccines.

Background And Objectives: Wearing-off symptoms during natalizumab treatment in multiple sclerosis are characterized by an increase of MS-related symptoms prior to natalizumab administration. The influence of extended interval dosing (EID) on wearing-off symptoms are important to consider, as this might cause hesitancy in initiating or continuing EID.
Methods: Participants of the NEXT-MS trial, in which treatment intervals are adjusted based on drug concentrations, were divided into two groups: an extended group containing participants with at least one week of additional interval extension, and a group with a fixed interval during the trial (range 4-7 weeks).

Background: The identification of oncogenic mutations in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) has led to the development of drugs that target essential survival pathways, but whether targeting multiple survival pathways may be curative in DLBCL is unknown.
Methods: We performed a single-center, phase 1b-2 study of a regimen of venetoclax, ibrutinib, prednisone, obinutuzumab, and lenalidomide (ViPOR) in relapsed or refractory DLBCL. In phase 1b, which included patients with DLBCL and indolent lymphomas, four dose levels of venetoclax were evaluated to identify the recommended phase 2 dose, with fixed doses of the other four drugs.

Recently, inertial measurement units have been gaining popularity as a potential alternative to optical motion capture systems in the analysis of joint kinematics. In a previous study, the accuracy of knee joint angles calculated from inertial data and an extended Kalman filter and smoother algorithm was tested using ground truth data originating from a joint simulator guided by fluoroscopy-based signals. Although high levels of accuracy were achieved, the experimental setup leveraged multiple iterations of the same movement pattern and an absence of soft tissue artefacts.

Intratumoral (IT) therapy is a powerful method of controlling tumor growth, but a major unsolved problem is the rapidity that injected drugs exit tumors, limiting on-target exposure and efficacy. We have developed a generic long acting IT delivery system in which a drug is covalently tethered to hydrogel microspheres (MS) by a cleavable linker; upon injection the conjugate forms a depot that slowly releases the drug and "bathes" the tumor for long periods. We established technology to measure tissue pharmacokinetics and studied MSs attached to SN-38, a topoisomerase 1 inhibitor.

Background: This study investigates if countries are more focused on certain specializations (one day, climb, sprint, time trial [TT] and grand tour [GC]) in male professional road cycling and if this is possibly linked to the countries landscape (for example, does a mountainous country have more climbers?) and anthropometric characteristics (does the mountainous country also have lighter cyclists?) of their cyclists.
Methods: Body weight, height, procyclingstats (PCS) points per specialty were gathered from 1810 professional cyclists out of 15 countries, as well as the elevation span of those countries. To compare the anthropometric differences between different countries, height was normalized based on the average height of the countries' population, while BMI was used as a correction for body weight.
