We studied different types of the vascular response to direct intraoperative low-frequency electrical stimulation of the sciatic nerve after autoneuroplasty of its tibial portion and analyzed their effects on the limb function recovery. Rats (n=20) underwent 40-min intraoperative electrical stimulation, and hemodynamics in the leg was recorded by photoplethysmography. Functional recovery of the tibial nerve was assessed using a walking path analysis within 12 weeks after surgery.

We studied the features of hydrolytic degradation of polylactic acid (PLLA) implants depending on their structural filling with hydroxyapatite (HA). The resistance to in vitro hydrolysis was tested for the following samples: PLLA without HA (control; group 1), PLLA/HA 25 wt% (group 2), and PLLA/HA 50 wt% (group 3). Samples were incubated at 37°C.

We studied hemodynamic changes in the area of leg bone fracture and determined the prognostic criteria for refracture formation after achieved union. In Wistar rats (n=18), shin bone fracture with external fixation of the fragments was modeled. The union was formed 35 days after osteosynthesis, the device was removed at this term.
