Background: The present study aims to evaluate a three-dimensional (3D) changes in the crestal bone levels (buccally, lingually/palatally, mesially, and distally) and in the thickness of keratinized tissue around single or multiple implants using cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) after 1 year.
Materials And Methods: Twenty-eight implants were placed in the posterior load-bearing areas in 10 patients. The crestal bone levels and the thickness of keratinized tissue surrounding the edentulous area were assessed preoperatively, immediately after implant placement, and 1 year after implant placement using CBCT (3D imaging technique with DICOM software (Carestream Health, Rochester, NY)).

Background: Ridge preservation following tooth extraction is essential for maintaining the alveolar bone structure and facilitating successful dental implant placement. Various techniques have been proposed for this purpose, but there remains a need for comparative analysis to determine their efficacy.
Materials And Methods: This clinical and radiographic study compared two different techniques for ridge preservation: Technique A and Technique B.

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to assess, in a tertiary care context, the significance of C-reactive protein (CRP) in salivary gland illness.
Methods: This prospective research included 100 consecutive individuals with symptoms indicative of illness of the salivary glands. Demographic information, clinical information, and presenting symptoms were noted.
Background: Orthodontic treatment, particularly involving premolar extractions, has been a subject of ongoing debate within the orthodontic community. The impact of such interventions on the pharyngeal airway, a critical component of the respiratory system, remains a topic of exploration.
Objective: This retrospective cephalometric study aims to investigate changes in pharyngeal airway dimensions following orthodontic treatment involving either all four or all five premolar extractions.

A comparative analysis and assessment of the compressive strength (CS) and diametral tensile strength (DTS) between conventional glass ionomer cement (C-GIC) and a silver-reinforced GIC (S-GIC) variant is of interest. Ten specimens of both C-GIC (GC Fuji II, Japan) and S-GIC (Riva Silver, SDI, Australia) were fabricated for the evaluation of compressive strength, and an identical number of samples were created for the examination of tensile strength. These specimens were then tested using a universal testing apparatus.

Introduction The current research sets out to assess implant early survival rates and identify relevant parameters. Methods The research spanned the years 2021 and 2022 and included all individuals who had dental implants. Various criteria, such as age, sex, maxilla/mandible, implant location, immediate implant, implant diameter, implant length, and others, were used to determine the implant survival rate in the research.

Background: The process of odontogenesis is complex involving epithelial-mesenchymal interactions, along with the molecular signalling pathways triggering the initiating process. The triggering factors and cells precisely involved in the pathogenesis of odontogenic cysts and tumors are unknown. There is a vast array of biomarkers used to stain different sites, thereby helpful in diagnosing and evaluating the prognosis of these cysts and tumors.

Background: It has been speculated that the pathogenesis of diseases prompted by cigarette smoking includes oxidative damage by free radicals. Though, definitive evidence that smoking may cause the oxidative modification of target molecules in vivo is lacking. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to estimate and compare the levels of salivary Thiocyanate (SCN) and power of hydrogen (pH) in the saliva of smokers and nonsmokers with chronic periodontitis (ChP).

Tuberculosis is the most dangerous disease causing maximum deaths than any other, caused by single infectious agent. Due to multidrug resistant of Mycobacterium tuberculosis strains, there is a need of new drugs and drug targets. In this work, we have selected RmlD (α-dTDP-6-deoxy-lyxo-4-hexulose reductase) in the dTDP Rhamnose pathway as drug target to control tuberculosis using Rhodanine analogues.
