Background: Admission of a patient in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and the recovery process may be stressful for family members.

Objectives: This study aimed to explore the families' psychological symptoms and their evolution over the 1 week of patients' ICU stay. Additional objectives were the estimation of the families' need for support and the estimation of satisfaction regarding the information provided by ICU physicians.

Natural disasters such as tsunami, hurricanes, and earthquakes may have a negative impact on cardiac health. The aim of our systematic review is to evaluate the impact of earthquakes on the incidence of acute coronary syndromes and cardiac mortality and to examine the impact of the time of earthquakes on the incidence of acute coronary syndromes. MEDLINE and Cochrane databases were searched for studies assessing the impact of earthquakes on acute coronary syndromes from inception until December 20, 2017.

Primary liver cancer genome sequencing: translational implications and challenges.

SLCO1B3 screening in colorectal cancer patients using High-Resolution Melting Analysis method and immunohistochemistry.

Non-epithelial ovarian cancers (NEOC) are a group of fascinating but uncommon malignancies which can be extremely challenging to treat. Collectively, these tumours only represent 10-15% of all ovarian cancers and occur in all age groups from childhood to old age. This broad term includes diverse tumours of germ cell origin, sex cord-stromal cell origin, as well as extremely rare types of ovarian cancer, such as small-cell carcinomas and sarcomas, each of which require specialist management.

Laparoscopic Bullet Removal in a Penetrating Abdominal Gunshot.
