Purpose: To investigate the feasibility and efficacy of a continuous functional contrast visual acuity (CFCVA) system in the assessment of visual function in dry eye disease (DED).

Methods: Twenty patients with DED and 15 normal controls were recruited. Subjective symptoms were evaluated using the Ocular Surface Disease Index (OSDI) questionnaire, and tear film stability was assessed by a noninvasive corneal topographer.

Purpose: The study aimed to assess the accuracy of the FY-L formula in calculating intraocular lens (IOL) power after small-incision lenticule extraction (SMILE).

Methods: For the post-SMILE IOL calculation of the same eye, the IOL power targeting the pre-SMILE eyes' lowest myopic refractive error was used. The FY-L formula, the Emmetropia Verifying Optical Formula (EVO-L), the Barrett True-K no history, and the Shammas-L, respectively, were used to calculate the predicted refractive error of target IOL power.

Purpose: To present an electrocoagulation fixation technique for one-piece intraocular lens (IOL) scleral flapless fixation with sutures without knots.

Methods: First of all, after repeated tests and comparisons, we chose 8-0 polypropylene suture as the material for electrocoagulation fixation of one-piece IOL haptics because of its proper elasticity and size. A transscleral tunnel puncture at the pars plana was performed using an arc-shaped needle with 8-0 polypropylene suture.

Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the clinical application of laser as a knife in Ab externo Schlemm's canal (SC) surgery and compare the efficacy and safety of the CO laser with the conventional procedure using a surgical knife.

Methods: Patients who underwent either canaloplasty or trabeculotomy with CO laser system which was used to locate and ablate the outer wall of SC at the time interval between May 2020 and May 2021 were identified, their medical files were reviewed, and their results were compared with conventional surgery group who underwent canaloplasty or trabeculotomy with conventional surgical knife at the same time period. The following datas were conducted and compared: age, sex, intraocular pressure (IOP), number of drugs, best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA), mean deviation and pattern standard deviation of visual field examination, SC opening related complications.
