To explore the interaction between pediatric sleep-disordered breathing（SDB）, the intestinal microbiota, and pediatric non-alcoholic fatty liver disease（NAFLD）. A total of 63 non-obese children（47 children with SDB in the experimental group and 16 without SDB in the control group） were enrolled in this study. The liver function and degree of SDB were assessed in both groups.

Methods: This observational, prospective, diagnostic accuracy study was conducted in a tertiary academic hospital between June and December 2023. A total of 361 neonates underwent LUS examination within 1 h of birth.

Construction and validation of nomogram prediction model for risk of acute heart failure in patients with acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

To investigate the influencing factors of in-hospital acute heart failure (AHF) in patients with acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (AECOPD), and to construct and validate a risk prediction nomogram model. Three Hundred Thirty patients with AECOPD admitted to our hospital from June 2020 to June 2023 were retrospectively analyzed as a training set for the construction of the model. Three Hundred Twenty-five AECOPD patients admitted to the Second People's Hospital of Hefei from 2006 to June 2023 were also collected as the validation set for the validation of the model.

Correlation of Atherosclerotic Dyslipidemia with Long-Term Stroke Recurrence in Patients Undergoing Intravenous Thrombolysis for Acute Ischemic Stroke.

Increasing evidence has demonstrated that ubiquitin ligase E4B (UBE4B) may be involved in the occurrence and development of various human cancers and may affect prognosis. However, the specific role and mechanism of UBE4B in HCC is unclear.

Efficacy Evaluation of the VFQ-25 Scale in Patients with Different Degrees of Vitreous Opacity After Nd : YAG Laser Ablation.

Objective: To evaluate the effect of the VFQ-25 scale on the efficacy of Nd : YAG laser ablation in patients with different severity of vitreous opacities.

Methods: From January 2020 to March 2021, data of patients who presented to our department and were diagnosed with vitreous opacity were collected, and the severity of vitreous opacity was divided into four grades: I, II, III, and IV. Preoperative visual acuity, intraocular pressure, dilated fundus, B ultrasound, and other examinations were performed, and the patients were scored using the VFQ-25 scale.

Associations of single and multiple perfluoroalkyl substances exposure with folate among adolescents in NHANES 2007-2010.

Background: The accumulation of perfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in human body has raised concerns about the potential health impacts on children and adolescents. However, no study has evaluated the associations of PFAS exposure with folate concentrations among adolescents.

Methods: In the present study, we mainly used three statistical approaches, namely multiple linear regression, Bayesian Kernel Machine Regression (BKMR), and quantile-based g-computation (Q-gcomp) models, to evaluate associations of individual PFAS and their mixtures with serum and red blood cell (RBC) folate concentrations in a sample of 721 adolescents from the NHANES 2007-2010.

A nomogram model predicting the risk of postpartum stress urinary incontinence in primiparas: A multicenter study.

Stress urinary incontinence (SUI) is a common gynecological urinary system disease, and globally, 200 million or more people suffer from it. However, the existing literature mostly focuses on postpartum urinary incontinence (UI) or UI in middle-aged and elderly people, with little focus on primiparas. To analyse urinary incontinence prevalence and its risk factors in primiparas and establish a nomogram prediction model, 360 parturients were recruited from three hospitals between April and September 2021.

Objective: To investigate the effect of speckle-type POZ protein (SPOP) on proliferation, apoptosis, migration and invasion of renal cell carcinoma (RCC) and explore the potential mechanisms.

Objective: Renal carcinoma cell lines (786-O, A704, and Caki-2) cultured in vitro were transfected with a SPOP-overexpressing plasmid, and the changes in proliferation of the cells were detected using colony formation and MTT assay; TUNEL assay was used to assess apoptosis of the cells. The changes in migration and invasion abilities of the cells were examined using wound healing assay and Transwell assay.

Perinatal depressive and anxiety symptoms of pregnant women during the coronavirus disease 2019 outbreak in China.

Background: On January 20, 2020, a new coronavirus epidemic with human-to-human transmission was officially declared by the Chinese government, which caused significant public panic in China. In light of the coronavirus disease 2019 outbreak, pregnant women may be particularly vulnerable and in special need for preventive mental health strategies. Thus far, no reports exist to investigate the mental health response of pregnant women to the coronavirus disease 2019 outbreak.
