Background: In arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathy (ACM), left ventricle-dominant presentation has poorer outcomes than right-dominant presentation, suggesting that interventricular functional disparity might play a role in patients' prognosis. However, the prognostic impact of ventricular functional discordance in ACM patients remains unknown.
Purpose: To assess whether ventricular functional disparity measured as ventricular discordance index, defined as the ratio of right-ventricular ejection fraction (RVEF) to left-ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), might reveal prognostic disparities between phenotypes and offer added risk stratification value.

Background: Patients with pulmonary hypertension (PH) secondary to left heart failure (HF) exhibit a complex pathophysiological profile and poor prognosis. Left atrial (LA) function is pivotal in the progression of this disease, yet its predictive significance remains exclusive. This study aimed to explore the predictive capability of LA metrics in this population and compare them with other common predictors.

Cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMR) is the gold standard for cardiac function assessment and plays a crucial role in diagnosing cardiovascular disease (CVD). However, its widespread application has been limited by the heavy resource burden of CMR interpretation. Here, to address this challenge, we developed and validated computerized CMR interpretation for screening and diagnosis of 11 types of CVD in 9,719 patients.

Aim: To describe the myocardial torsion mechanics in cardiac amyloidosis (CA), and evaluate the correlations between left ventricle (LV) torsion mechanics and conventional parameters using cardiac magnetic resonance imaging feature tracking (CMR-FT).
Materials And Methods: One hundred and thirty-nine patients with light-chain CA (AL-CA) were divided into three groups: group 1 with preserved systolic function (LV ejection fraction [LVEF] ≥50%, n=55), group 2 with mildly reduced systolic function (40% ≤ LVEF <50%, n=51), and group 3 with reduced systolic function (LVEF <40%, n=33), and compared with age- and gender-matched healthy controls (n=26). All patients underwent cine imaging and late gadolinium-enhancement (LGE).

Objectives: To explore individual weight of cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) metrics to predict mid-term outcomes in patients with dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM), and develop a risk algorithm for mid-term outcome based on CMR biomarkers.
Materials And Methods: Patients with DCM who underwent CMR imaging were prospectively enrolled in this study. The primary endpoint was a composite of heart failure (HF) death, sudden cardiac death (SCD), aborted SCD, and heart transplantation.
Purpose: To evaluate the left atrial (LA) function in participants with apical hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (AHCM) by cardiovascular magnetic resonance feature tracking (CMR-FT).
Materials And Methods: Thirty typical AHCM (TAHCM) patients, 23 subclinical AHCM (SAHCM) patients and 32 normal healthy volunteers who underwent CMR exam were retrospectively analyzed. LA reservoir, conduit, and contractile function were quantified by volumetric and CMR-FT derived strain and strain rate (SR) parameters from 2-chamber and 4-chamber cine imaging.

Objectives: To assess the correlation between LA and LV strain measurements in different clinical scenarios and evaluate to what extent LA deformation contributes to the prognosis of patients.
Methods: A total of 297 consecutive participants including 75 healthy individuals, 75 hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) patients, 74 idiopathic dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM), and 73 chronic myocardial infarction (MI) patients were retrospectively enrolled in this study. The associations of LA-LV coupling with clinical status were statistically analyzed by correlation, multiple linear regression, and logistic regression.

Purpose: This study aimed to illustrate how percutaneous balloon mitral valvuloplasty (PBMV) and mitral valve (MV) surgeries influence women of childbearing age with rheumatic mitral valve diseases (RMVDs) from two aspects, including clinical outcomes and their postoperative childbearing performances.
Methods: Female patients with RMVD who were of childbearing age and underwent MV interventions between 2007 and 2019 at Beijing Anzhen Hospital were identified. Outcomes included all-cause deaths, repeated MV interventions, and atrial fibrillation.

A significant proportion of peripartum cardiomyopathy (PPCM) patients experience persistent heart failure even death, the underneath reason of non-recovery may attribute to the myocardial tissue damage. This study aims to explore the prognostic value of cardiac MRI late gadolinium enhancement (LGE) in women with PPCM, and further establish a predictive model for poor outcomes. Eighty-four consecutively diagnosed women with PPCM underwent cardiac MRI between January 2010 to December 2019.

Objective: To explore the differentially expressed genes (DEGs) along with infiltrating immune cells landscape and their potential mechanisms in the progression of atherosclerosis from onset to plaque rupture.
Methods: In this study, three atherosclerosis-related microarray datasets were downloaded from the NCBI-GEO database. The gene set enrichment analysis (GSEA) was performed for interpreting the biological insights of gene expression data.

Cor triatriatum dexter (CTD) is an extremely rare congenital cardiac malformation in which a membrane divides the right atrium into 2 chambers. Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) with restrictive phenotype is also a rare cardiomyopathy. We report a case with an 18-year history of chest discomfort, fatigue and syncope following intense physical activity was finally diagnosed with CTD complicated with HCM, and the HCM is a special type, restrictive phenotype.

Background: Fragmented QRS (f-QRS) complex on the surface ECG is a cardiac conduction abnormality that indicates myocardial scarring. The relationship between the f-QRS complex and cardiac status in patients with Danon disease (DD) remains unclear and will be explored in this study.
Methods: Patients with genetically confirmed DD and cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMR) examinations were recruited from multiple centers.
