Objective: To report on the results obtained from the 2019 SEFH National Survey regarding the service portfolio, care activities, training programs and research work of Spanish hospital pharmacy departments.
Method: In March 2019, SEFH designed and distributed a questionnaire containing 77 questions grouped into 8 domains to its 368 affiliated hospital pharmacy departments. The questionnaire included an additional section on the activities carried out in 2017 and 2018.

BackgroundAccess to drugs with hospital-restricted dispensation, such as those for patients with rheumatoid arthritis or psoriasis, is regulated by healthcare policy. These drugs have the greatest cost-effective impact on the healthcare system. This is why a model for Pharmaceutical Care based on follow-up teleconsultations was defined in our hospital to improve patient well-being.

Objective: To publicize the results regarding the general characteristics, human resources, materials and information systems of Spanish hospital pharmacy departments arising from SEFH's 2019 Survey on the Situation of Spanish Hospital Pharmacy Departments.
Method: An online questionnaire was sent to the heads of the 368 hospital pharmacy departments affiliated to SEFH. The questionnaire included 77 questions grouped into 8 dimensions.

Objective: To determine the impact of the implementation of an influenza vaccination campaign in a hospital pharmacy service on patients who are starting or receiving treatment with biological therapies.
Method: A 15-month quasi-experimental study of patients starting or receiving treatment with biological therapies. Between October and December 2016 and October and December 2017, we compared influenza vaccination rates, the incidence of influenza in the study population, the direct impact of the vaccination campaign on the patient, the effect of the campaign on vaccination rates, and the results of the satisfaction survey.

Background: Optimal rehabilitation treatment after surgery for fixation of unstable trochanteric fractures is challenging in elderly patients.
Purpose: The objective of this study is to analyse the existing literature on available rehabilitation protocols with regards to permitting or restricting early weight bearing following fixation of unstable trochanteric fractures treated by the use of cephalomedullary nails in patients at least 65 years of age.
Methods: A systematic review was performed based on the checklist of the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA).

Purpose: Treatment for unicompartmental knee osteoarthritis (OA) is controversial in young patients with concomitant anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) deficiency. The aim of the current study is to report long-term results after the combination of unicompartmental knee arthroplasty (UKA) and ACL reconstruction.
Methods: Retrospective study of one-stage medial UKA and ACL reconstruction was performed on eight patients at a mean age of 52 years (42-60).

Objective: To determine the annual incidence of healthcare professionals' accidental exposure to blood and body fluids in a community hospital and describe their characteristics, associated situations and follow-up.
Method: A longitudinal, retrospective study of biological accidents voluntarily reported on a yearly basis by exposed healthcare professionals at Fundació Hospital de l'Esperit Sant (in Santa Coloma de Gramenet, Barcelona, Spain), between 2005 and 2014. A descriptive analysis of the variables related to the exposed professional, the exposure itself, its production mechanism and the source patient was conducted.
