Background: Salidroside is the major bioactive and pharmacological active substance in Rhodiola rosea L. It has been reported to have neuroprotective effects on cerebral ischemia/reperfusion (I/R). However, whether salidroside can enhance neural regeneration after cerebral I/R is still unknown.
