Few biomarkers are available for predicting chemotherapeutic response and prognosis in colorectal cancer (CRC). Long-noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) are essential for CRC development and growth. Therefore, studying lncRNAs may reveal potential predictors of chemotherapy response and prognosis in CRC.

Purpose: The KUNPENG study aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of vebreltinib (also known as bozitinib, APL-101, PLB-1001, and CBT-101), a potent and highly selective inhibitor of c-mesenchymal-epithelial transition (), in patients with locally advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) harboring c-Met alterations.
Methods: This multicenter, multicohort, open-label, single-arm, phase II trial enrolled patients with c-Met dysregulated, locally advanced or metastatic NSCLC from January 2020 to August 2022 across 17 centers. Cohort 1 included patients with exon 14 skipping (ex14)-mutant NSCLC who had not previously received inhibitors.

To investigate the occurrence and 90-day mortality of cancer patients following unplanned admission to the intensive care unit (ICU), as well as to develop a risk prediction model for their 90-day prognosis. We prospectively analyzed data from cancer patients who were admitted to the ICU without prior planning within the past 7 days, specifically between May 12, 2021, and July 12, 2021. The patients were grouped based on their 90-day survival status, and the aim was to identify the risk factors influencing their survival status.

Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) targeting programmed cell death 1, programmed cell death ligand 1, and cytotoxic T lymphocyte-associated antigen-4 have shown significantly durable clinical benefits and tolerable toxicities and have improved the survival of patients with various types of cancer. Since 2018, the National Medical Products Administration of China has approved 17 ICIs as the standard treatment for certain advanced or metastatic solid tumors. As ICIs represent a broad-spectrum antitumor strategy, the populations eligible for cancer immunotherapy are rapidly expanding.

Multimodal deep learning models have been applied for disease prediction tasks, but difficulties exist in training due to the conflict between sub-models and fusion modules. To alleviate this issue, we propose a framework for decoupling feature alignment and fusion (DeAF), which separates the multimodal model training into two stages. In the first stage, unsupervised representation learning is conducted, and the modality adaptation (MA) module is used to align the features from various modalities.

Background: Postoperative chemotherapy is a standard treatment for stage II and III gastric cancer in Asia. With regard to single-agent or doublet, the need for improvement has consistently been pointed out because of the relatively poor outcome for patients with stage III gastric cancer. Triplet has shown significant survival benefits in the perioperative setting.

Background: Recent interest in laparoscopic right colectomy with D3 lymphadenectomy for right colon cancer, has raised renewed attention to the anatomic variations of the gastrocolic trunk of Henlé (GTH). Understanding the vascular structure of the GTH region for individual patients should improve surgical outcomes. The goal of this nationwide multicenter study (Anatomical Classification of Henlé's Trunk in Laparoscopic Right Hemi-colectomy (HeLaRC) trial) was to study the anatomic patterns of the GTH region, to clarify the implications of GTH in laparoscopic right colectomy with D3 lymphadenectomy (D3-RC) and analyze their clinical significance.

Colorectal cancer (CRC) is one of the most prevalent malignancies, and immunotherapy can be applied to CRC patients of all ages, while its efficacy is uncertain. Tumor mutational burden (TMB) is important for predicting the effect of immunotherapy. Currently, whole-exome sequencing (WES) is a standard method to measure TMB, but it is costly and inefficient.

Free radical-based anticancer modality has been widely applied to cancer therapies. However, it still faces challenges of low delivery efficiency and poor selectivity of free radical generation specifically toward tumors. Herein, a virus-mimicking hollow mesoporous disulfide-bridged organosilica is designed to encapsulate •C precursor 2, 2'-azobis[2-(2-imidazolin-2-yl) propane] dihydrochloride (AIPH), which is then enclosed by tannic acid (TA)/Fe photothermal assembly and further cloaked by natural killer (NK) cell membrane to achieve synergistic thermodynamic-chemodynamic therapy.
