Nasopharyngeal cancer (NPC) is a malignant tumor with high prevalence in Southeast Asia and highly invasive and metastatic characteristics. Radiotherapy is the primary strategy for NPC treatment, however there is still lack of effect method for predicting the radioresistance that is the main reason for treatment failure. Herein, the molecular profiles of patient plasma from NPC with radiotherapy sensitivity and resistance groups as well as healthy group, respectively, were explored by label-free surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) based on surface plasmon resonance for the first time.

Objective: This study aims to develop a nomogram integrating inflammation (NLR), Prognostic Nutritional Index (PNI), and EBV DNA (tumor burden) to achieve personalized treatment and prediction for stage IVA NPC. Furthermore, it endeavors to pinpoint specific subgroups that may derive significant benefits from S-1 adjuvant chemotherapy.
Methods: A total of 834 patients diagnosed with stage IVA NPC were enrolled in this study and randomly allocated into training and validation cohorts.

The permeability of the highly selective blood-brain barrier (BBB) to anticancer drugs and the difficulties in defining deep tumor boundaries often reduce the effectiveness of glioma treatment. Thus, exploring the combination of multiple treatment modalities under the guidance of second-generation near-infrared (NIR-II) window fluorescence (FL) imaging is considered a strategic approach in glioma theranostics. Herein, a hybrid X-ray-activated nanoprodrug was developed to precisely visualize the structural features of glioma microvasculature and delineate the boundary of glioma for synergistic chemo-radiotherapy.

Chinese guidelines recommend POF (paclitaxel, oxaliplatin, and 5-FU/levoleucovorin) as first-line treatment for advanced gastric cancer (AGC). Apatinib can augment the antitumor effect of paclitaxel, oxaliplatin, or fluorouracil in preclinical studies of AGC. A phase I clinical trial was conducted to evaluate the anticancer activity and maximum tolerated dose (MTD) of apatinib plus POF in treatment-naïve patients with AGC and to establish a recommended phase II dose.
