Introduction: Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) and its complications significantly increase the risk of premature mortality and disability among patients, placing a considerable burden on socioeconomic development. Evidence has shows that effective transitional care can improve health outcomes for patients with T2DM. However, T2DM transitional care faces challenges including service discontinuity, communication breakdowns and a lack of personalised design, leading to potential issues of undertreatment and overtreatment, increasing the risk of improper blood sugar management.

Prurigo nodularis (PN) is a chronic pruritic inflammatory skin condition characterized by nodular skin lesions in a typical distribution pattern caused by various dermatological and/or non-dermatological conditions. In recent years, significant advances have been made in the understanding of the cutaneous pathophysiology of PN resulting in novel treatment options such as Interleukin-4, -13, -17, -31- or Januskinase inhibitors. However, many aspects of the neurophysiology are largely unknown, including the processing in the central structural and functional network involved in PN.

Electronic address:

The Hedgehog Signaling Pathway plays an important role in cancer development and chemotherapy resistance. However, whether the pathway functions depend on the metabolic reprogramming of cancer cells has not been well studied. In this study, we found that the expression level of Gli1, a key transcription factor downstream of the Hedgehog Signaling Pathway, is significantly increased in patients with pancreatic cancer resistant to gemcitabine neoadjuvant chemotherapy.

Selective inhibition of Class I HDACs has emerged as a promising approach for cancer therapy. Building on our previous work with Largazole (a member of the natural depsipeptide family), we have applied a similar fluorination modification to Romidepsin and synthesized its fluoro analog (12) in 12 steps. This analog exhibits potent inhibitory activity against Class I HDACs but shows no inhibitory effect on HDAC6, confirming its selectivity as a Class I HDAC inhibitor (IC50 HDAC1 0.

Background: Magnetic resonance-guided adaptive radiation therapy (MRgART) systems combine Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technology with linear accelerators (LINAC) to enhance the precision and efficacy of cancer treatment. These systems enable real-time adjustments of treatment plans based on the latest patient anatomy, creating an urgent need for accurate and rapid dose calculation algorithms. Traditional CT-based dose calculations and ray-tracing (RT) processes are time-consuming and may not be feasible for the online adaptive workflow required in MRgART.

Survival benefit of surgery vs radiotherapy alone to patients with stage IA lung adenocarcinoma: a propensity score-matched analysis.

Eur J Med Res

March 2025

Department of Thoracic Surgery, Zhongshan Hospital, Fudan University, 180 Fenglin Road, Shanghai, 200032, China.

Objectives: We compared the overall survival (OS) and cancer-specific survival (CSS) of patients who received radiotherapy and surgery, respectively, in a large population.

Methods: In this study, we counted the patients diagnosed with stage IA lung adenocarcinoma in the SEER database from 2015 to 2019. We compared the overall survival (OS) and cancer-specific survival (CSS) through Kaplan Meier analysis, balanced the differences of primary data through propensity score matching (PSM), screened independent prognostic factors through Cox regression analysis, and then compared the survival differences of different treatment methods through hierarchical analysis.

Maternal di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate exposure increases the risk of congenital heart disease in mice offspring.

Pediatr Res

March 2025

Pediatric Heart Center, NHC Key Laboratory of Neonatal Diseases, Children's Hospital of Fudan University, National Children's Medical Center, Shanghai, 201102, China.

Abstrct: BACKGROUD: Epidemiological data suggest that maternal occupational exposure to mixed phthalates comprising di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) increases the risk of congenital heart disease (CHD). In this study, we used mice as an animal model to validate impact of first-trimester DEHP exposure on the risk of CHD in offspring, to elucidate the possible mechanisms and to provide a potential feasible intervention.

Methods And Results: Eight-week-old C57BL/6J pregnant mice were randomly divided into standard and DEHP diet groups.

METTL3-mA-mediated TGF-β signaling promotes Fuchs endothelial corneal dystrophy via regulating corneal endothelial-to-mesenchymal transition.

Cell Death Discov

March 2025

Department of Ophthalmology, Eye & ENT Hospital, State Key Laboratory of Medical Neurobiology and MOE Frontiers Center for Brain Science, Fudan University, Shanghai, 200031, China.

Fuchs endothelial corneal dystrophy (FECD) is the leading cause of vision-threatening corneal endothelial dystrophy without pharmacologic treatments. Corneal endothelial-mesenchymal transition (cEndMT), a specific cellular phenotypic transition, is implicated in the vicious cycle in FECD pathogenesis. Here, we investigated the reversible epigenetic regulation of N-methyladenosine (mA) during cEndMT process and FECD progression.

Objectives: This study examines the heterogeneous developmental trajectories of self-perceptions of aging (SPA) and their causal effects on functional health transitions in older adults. Specifically, we aim to identify latent classes of SPA development, assess their impact on multi-state functional transitions, and quantify the loss in healthy life expectancy attributable to negative SPA.

Methods: Drawing from the Chinese Longitudinal Healthy Longevity Survey (2008-2018; n = 14,020), we implemented latent class trajectory modeling to identify SPA developmental patterns.
