To determine the knowledge of influenza, pneumonia, herpes zoster and related vaccines, willingness to vaccinate under multiple payment scenarios, and corresponding risk factors among people over 50 years old in Minhang District of Shanghai. A total of 1 672 respondents aged 50-69 from 13 communities/towns in Minhang district of Shanghai were included in this study using a stratified random sampling strategy on December 2020. The knowledge of influenza, pneumonia, herpes zoster and vaccines was investigated using a questionnaire, and the differences in the willingness under multiple payment scenarios were determined using chi-square test.

The coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic is a major challenge worldwide. However, the epidemic potential of common human coronaviruses (HCoVs) remains unclear. This study aimed to determine the epidemiological and co-infection characteristics of common HCoVs in individuals with influenza-like illness (ILI) and severe acute respiratory infection (SARI).

Department of Epidemiology, Ministry of Education Key Laboratory of Public Health Safety, Fudan School of Public Health, Shanghai, China.

Background: Vaccination uptake of influenza vaccine, 23-valent pneumococcal polysaccharide vaccine (PPV23) and herpes zoster vaccine (HZV) remains low among Chinese aged 50-69 years, posing a significant public health concern. This study's aim is to determine the gap between the vaccination willingness and uptake.

Research Design And Methods: We conducted a face-to-face questionnaire survey among the persons aged 50-69 years in 13 communities in Shanghai in November-December 2020 to measure vaccination willingness, vaccine price sensitivity, vaccination service accessibility, and vaccine hesitancy.

Allergen-specific immunotherapy is widely used for allergic rhinitis and asthma treatment worldwide. This study explored the efficacy and safety of sublingual immunotherapy (SLIT) with the extracts of ( Drops) on house dust mites (HDM)-induced atopic dermatitis (AD). 239 patients with HDM-induced AD were recruited and exposure to a multi-centre, randomized, double-blind, and placebo-controlled clinical trials for 36 weeks, which were randomly divided into placebo and sublingual Drops groups (high-dose, medium-dose and low-dose), respectively.

In this study, we conducted a genome-wide scan of single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) to identify coding variants that is associated with the risk of glioblastoma (GBM), the most common and most malignant subtype of glioma. We genotyped 1038 GBM cases and 1008 controls in a Chinese Han population using Illumina HumanExome Beadchip v1.0.

September 2015

State Key Laboratory of Genetic Engineering, School of Life Sciences, Fudan University, Shanghai, P.R. China.

Background: More than 100 prostate cancer (PCa) risk-associated single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) have been identified by genome wide association studies (GWAS). However, the molecular mechanisms are unclear for most of these SNPs.

Methods: All reported PCa risk-associated SNPs reaching the genome-wide significance level of P < 1 × 10(-7) (index SNPs), as well as SNPs in linkage disequilibrium (LD, r(2) ≥ 0.

Department of Genetics, University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA; Curriculum in Bioinformatics & Computational Biology, University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA; Department of Biostatistics, Gillings School of Global Public Health, University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA;

Background: The objective of this study was to investigate the genetic association of 4 candidate variants with blood pressure and test the modifying effects of environmental factors including age, sex, and body mass index (BMI).

Methods: We used a linear mixed-effects model to test for variant main effects and variant interactions with age, sex, and BMI on systolic (SBP) and diastolic (DBP) blood pressure in 7,319 Chinese adults from the China Health and Nutrition Survey (CHNS). We attempted to replicate our significant interaction findings in 1,996 Chinese men from the Fangchenggang Area Male Health and Examination Survey (FAMHES).
