This study explores the effectiveness of transvaginal trigger point injections (TPIs) for treating chronic pelvic pain in women through a retrospective review of patient outcomes.
A total of 101 women received 257 injections, primarily using triamcinolone, and showed a significant reduction in pain scores after treatment, with 77% of patients reporting improvement.
Minor side effects were observed in 10% of visits, but the injections generally provided positive pain relief, highlighting TPIs as a viable option for pelvic floor dysfunction.
