First, produce suitable electrodes by Pt SA deposition on Direct current (DC)-sputter deposited titania (TiO) layers on graphene-these electrodes allow to characterization of the electrochemical properties of Pt single atoms and their investigation in high-resolution HAADF-STEM. For Pt SAs loaded on TiO, electrochemical H evolution shows only a very small overpotential.

The category of ALK -rearranged mesenchymal neoplasms has been evolving rapidly, with reports of morphologically diverse lesions of cutaneous, soft tissue, and visceral origin. While some of these represent morphologically defined entities harboring recurrent ALK fusions (inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor and epithelioid fibrous histiocytoma), others are unclassified by morphology with variable overlap with the tyrosine kinase family of neoplasia and their underlying ALK fusions cannot be suspected based on morphology. We herein report 3 cases that expand the anatomic, morphologic, and genotypic spectrum of ALK -rearranged unclassified neoplasms.

A Comprehensive Clinicopathologic and Molecular Reappraisal of GLI1 -altered Mesenchymal Tumors with Pooled Outcome Analysis Showing Poor Survival in GLI1 - amplified Versus GLI1- rearranged Tumors.

GLI1 -altered mesenchymal tumor is a recently described distinct pathologic entity with an established risk of malignancy, being defined molecularly by either GLI1 gene fusions or amplifications. The clinicopathologic overlap of tumors driven by the 2 seemingly distinct mechanisms of GLI1 activation is still emerging. Herein, we report the largest series of molecularly confirmed GLI1 -altered mesenchymal neoplasms to date, including 23 GLI1- amplified and 15 GLI1 -rearranged new cases, and perform a comparative clinicopathologic, genomic, and survival investigation.

Human umbilical cord blood (UCB) represents a unique resource for hematopoietic stem cell transplantation for children and patients lacking suitable donors. UCB harbors a diverse set of leukocytes such as professional APCs, including monocytes, that could act as a novel source for cellular therapies. Using Heart Rate Variability to Assess Nurses' Stress During the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Objective: This study aimed to assess subjective and objective parameters of stress among nurses during the COVID-19 pandemic and to examine the recovery effect of a day off.

Methods: In this prospective observational trial, we measured heart rate variability (using a wearable device) and perceived stress levels on 3 working days and 1 day off. We obtained the following data using an online questionnaire: working conditions, COVID-19-related problems, depression (Patient Health Questionnaire-9), anxiety (Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7), effort-reward imbalance, and work-family conflict in a sample of German nurses (N = 41).

Myxoid Inflammatory Myofibroblastic Sarcoma: Clinicopathologic Analysis of 25 Cases of a Distinctive Sarcoma With Deceptively Bland Morphology and Aggressive Clinical Behavior.

The number of recognized sarcoma types harboring targetable molecular alterations continues to increase. Here we present 25 examples of a distinctive myofibroblastic tumor, provisionally termed "myxoid inflammatory myofibroblastic sarcoma," which might be related to inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor, and which occurred in 13 males (52%) and 12 females at a median age of 37 years (range: 7 to 79 years). Primary tumor sites were peritoneum (18 patients; 72%), paratesticular (2; 8%), chest wall (1), upper extremity (1), esophagus (1), retroperitoneum (1), and uterus (1).

Quantifying and Maximizing the Information Flux in Recurrent Neural Networks.

Free-running recurrent neural networks (RNNs), especially probabilistic models, generate an ongoing information flux that can be quantified with the mutual information I[x→(t),x→(t+1)] between subsequent system states x→. Although previous studies have shown that I depends on the statistics of the network's connection weights, it is unclear how to maximize I systematically and how to quantify the flux in large systems where computing the mutual information becomes intractable. Here, we address these questions using Boltzmann machines as model systems.
