The discovery of a stable organic radical formed under mild, clean, and efficient light-mediated conditions is reported. The structure of the stable acridinium-based radical photoproduct was unambiguously established by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, mass spectrometry, and in solution by EPR, UV/vis, and NMR spectroscopies. The photochemical mechanism of its formation has been elucidated by photophysical experiments coupled with EPR experiments and theoretical investigations.

Graphene is the first 2D atomic crystal, and its isolation heralded a new era in materials science with the emergence of several other atomically thin materials displaying multifunctional properties. The safety assessment of new materials is often something of an afterthought, but in the case of graphene, the initial isolation and characterization of the material was soon followed by the assessment of its potential impact on living systems. Analyzing data from the longitudinal IMAGEN adolescent cohort, we investigated associations between eating behaviors, genetic predispositions for high body mass index (BMI) using polygenic scores (PGSs), and trajectories (ages 14-23 years) of ED-related psychopathology and brain maturation. Clustering analyses at age 23 years ( = 996) identified 3 eating groups: restrictive, emotional/uncontrolled and healthy eaters.

This work presents the development of an analytical method for MDA measurement in microvolumes of saliva samples from healthy individuals, using thiobarbituric acid derivatization and fluorescence reading of the formed compound. This method was progressively designed to meet specific constraints such as the limited sample volume available, cost-effectiveness of each assay, time required for analysis and costs.

This work reports the synthesis of a copper metal complex with the nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) ibuprofen, and 2,2'-dipyridylamine employing microwave-assisted synthesis (MWAS). To the best of authors knowledge, this is the first study reporting a NSAID-based complex achieved through MWAS. The coordination compound was characterised by elemental analysis, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, thermogravimetry, and ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometry.
