Background: The locus in primarily encodes flagellar (H) antigens. Exploring sequence diversity will shed light on the mechanisms of bacterial pathogenicity. This study examined the presence of mutant strains of in infected patients from different age groups, sexes and sample types in eastern Algerian provinces over a span of 2 years.

This paper introduces a novel approach for controlling a dual-star induction motor by combining third-order sliding mode control with the grey wolf optimization algorithm (TOSMC-GWO). The primary objective is to enhance motor performance by minimizing overshoot, rise time, settling time, overall response time, and steady-state error, while simultaneously mitigating unwanted oscillations in stator currents, rotor flux, and electromagnetic torque. Specifically, the proposed controller addresses the limitations of the indirect field-oriented control (IFOC) technique when using a classic sliding mode controller (IFOC-SMC).

A completely green protocol was developed for the synthesis of a series of arylaminonaphthol derivatives in the presence of N-ethylethanolamine (NEEA) as a catalyst under ultrasonic irradiation and solventless conditions. The major assets of this methodology were the use of non-toxic organic medium, available catalyst, mild reaction condition, and good to excellent yield of desired products. All of the synthesized products were screened for their in vitro antioxidant activity using DPPH, ABTS, and Ferric-phenanthroline assays and it was found that most of them are potent antioxidant agents.

This article deals with the study of hazardous chromium leaching, stabilized/solidified by cement CEM II after 28 days of curing, in an acidic environment. The mortars subjected to this study were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD) characterization to evaluate the influence of chromium waste on their mineralogical structure. In the study range (0.

The current study first describes the extraction of phytoantioxidant polyphenols from Carob byproducts (pods) using maceration and heating-assisted extraction as traditional methods and ultrasonic-assisted extraction (UAE) as an innovative method to determine the most efficient extraction process in terms of four targeted responses: total phenolic content (TPC), antioxidant activities (TAC and DPPH), and photoprotective properties as measured by the sun protection factor (SPF). Second, we used response surface methodology (RSM) with a central composite rotatable design (CCDR) approach to investigate the influence of process variables (extraction time, extraction temperature, and solvent concentration) on UAE, which was found to be the most effective extraction technique in our study. Carob byproduct extracts had a TPC ranging from 6.

Ticks are haematophagous arthropodsand tick-borne diseases causes billions of dollars in losses in the cattle industry because of the ability of ticks to be vector for many pathogens. This paper identifies and compares the infestation rate (prevalence and intensity) of females of hard tick species compared to males with respect to sex, age and breed of cattle in the region of Jijel, northeastern Algeria. A total of infested 53 cattle were screened and 1214 ticks were collected manually during summer 2019 (June, July and August) and identified based on their morphology.
