Head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) is one of the most common cancer worldwide and seriously threats public health safety. Despite the improvement of diagnostic and treatment methods, the overall survival for advanced patients has not improved yet. This study aimed to sort out prognosis-related molecular biomarkers for HNSCC and establish a prognostic model to stratify the risk hazards and predicate the prognosis for these patients, providing a theoretical basis for the formulation of individual treatment plans.

Background: Although labor pain is treated clinically by the administration of local anesthetics alone or with opioids in the epidural or spinal spaces, however, the mechanisms of labor pain mechanisms have not been fully elucidated during to the lack of animal models, and the side effects of drugs still existed. Spinal microglia can be activated or mobilized under several pain states, and we want to explore the activation of spinal microglia is involved in the acute uterine cervical distension rats or not.
Methods: (I) The electromyographic (EMG) response to uterine cervical distension (UCD) was observed.

Background: Protein kinase Mζ (PKMζ), a typical brain-specific PKC isoform, has been shown to be critical in the maintenance of long-term potentiation and memory storage. Zeta inhibitory peptide (ZIP), a peptide with selective inhibition of PKMζ, has been used in relieving experimental neuropathic pain and disrupting memory. The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of intra-amygdalar infusion of ZIP on neuropathic pain induced by chronic constriction injury (CCI), and inflammatory pain induced by complete Freund's adjuvant (CFA) in adult rats.

Objectives: Despite the fact that it is widely acknowledged that immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) rely on the presence of immune response to take their antitumor effect, little is known whether there is an influence exerted on the efficacy of ICIs based on patients' age. We performed a systematic review and meta-analysis to explore the efficacy of ICIs between younger and older patients.
Materials And Methods: We searched online database and major conference proceedings for randomized controlled trials (RCTs) published of ICIs and included RCTs that conducted subgroup comparisons of age with available combination of hazard ratios (HRs) and 95% confidence interval (95%CI).

Background: Few studies to date have assessed the incidence of radiation pneumonitis (RP) in lung cancer patients who have been treated with volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT). This study is aimed at reporting the RP incidence rate and the risk factors associated with a symptomatic RP in patients with lung cancer treated with VMAT.
Methods: A total of 77 consecutive lung cancer patients treated with VMAT from 2013 through 2015 were reviewed.
