Objective: The research intended to probe the connection between the risk of stroke and serum vitamin D levels.

Methods: Three electronic databases (Cochrane Library, EMBASE, PubMed) were searched according to the subject terms from inception until July 29, 2022, and retrieved researches were screened on the basis of inclusion and exclusion criteria. Two investigators conducted the quality assessment and data extraction.

A fast and non-invasive artificial intelligence olfactory-like system that aids diagnosis of Parkinson's disease.

Background And Purpose: Several previous studies have shown that skin sebum analysis can be used to diagnose Parkinson's disease (PD). The aim of this study was to develop a portable artificial intelligence olfactory-like (AIO) system based on gas chromatographic analysis of the volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in patient sebum and explore its application value in the diagnosis of PD.

Methods: The skin VOCs from 121 PD patients and 129 healthy controls were analyzed using the AIO system and three classic machine learning models were established, including the gradient boosting decision tree (GBDT), random forest and extreme gradient boosting, to assist the diagnosis of PD and predict its severity.

Objectives: Worldwide, around 18.2% of cervical cancer occurred in China, mainly because of lower screening coverage and screening quality in regional disparities. To assess self-sampling for human papillomavirus (HPV) testing, combined with the internet, as a primary cervical cancer screening (CCS) method in low-resource settings, and to establish an internet-based self-sampling CCS-management model.

Ten genes associated with MGMT promoter methylation predict the prognosis of patients with glioma.

Glioma originates from the glial cells of the spine or brain, and promoter methylation of O6‑methylguanine‑DNA methyltransferase (MGMT) can promote the chemosensitivity of glioma. The present study aimed to reveal the key genes implicated in MGMT promoter methylation in patients with glioma. RNA‑sequencing data and methylation data for glioma were extracted from The Cancer Genome Atlas database.
