Choroidal thickness in juvenile open angle glaucoma: insights from a south asian case-control study.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to compare choroidal thickness in juvenile open angle glaucoma (JOAG) and healthy controls using spectral domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT) and study its correlations.

Methods: In this case-control study, 56 eyes of 28 JOAG patients and an equal number of controls were recruited. SD-OCT was used to measure the choroidal thickness (ChT), in the macular region at 5 locations: subfoveal, 1500 µm and 3000 µm nasal and temporal to the foveal center, and in the peripapillary region at 6 locations: up to 1500 µm, nasal and temporal to the disc, respectively.
