To investigate the clinicopathological and genetic features of infantile rhabdomyofibrosarcoma (IRFS) with EGFR kinase domain duplication (EGFR-KDD). The clinical, morphological and immunohistochemical features of three IRFS with EGFR-KDD diagnosed from January 2022 to January 2024 at Department of Pathology, Foshan Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, Foshan, China were retrospectively analyzed using PCR or next generation sequencing technique; and related literature was reviewed. There were 1 male and 2 females, aged at presentation ranging from 1 to 4 years.

Background: The relationship between thyroid hormone (TH) levels in vivo and osteoarthritis (OA) remains inconclusive. This study aims to investigate the association between TH levels and OA, analyze the effect of triiodothyronine on hypertrophic chondrocyte differentiation and OA progression, and identify potential target genes of triiodothyronine in OA to evaluate its diagnostic value.
Methods: Two-sample mendelian randomization method was used to probe the causal links between hyperthyroidism and OA.

Recent developments of deep learning methods have demonstrated their feasibility in liver malignancy diagnosis using ultrasound (US) images. However, most of these methods require manual selection and annotation of US images by radiologists, which limit their practical application. On the other hand, US videos provide more comprehensive morphological information about liver masses and their relationships with surrounding structures than US images, potentially leading to a more accurate diagnosis.

Objective: To observe the effect of Huatan Tongluo Granule (HTG) on the expression of suppressors of cytokine signaling-3 (SOCS-3) and tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alpha) in patients with acute cerebral infarction (ACI) of phlegm-wind-stasis obstruction (PWSO) syndrome type.
Methods: Sixty-six ACI patients of PWSO type admitted within 72 h were randomized into the treatment group (34 cases) and the control group (32 cases), they were treated with foundational therapeutics, but HTG was given additionally to patients in the treatment group. SOCS-3 expression was detected by ELISA before treatment (d0) and on the 3rd (d3) and 7th day (d7) of treatment; TNF-alpha expression was detected by chemiluminescence at dO and d7.
