, which includes approximately 80 species, is one of the most ornamental and cultivated orchid genera. However, a lack of markers and sparse sampling have posed great challenges to resolving the phylogenetic relationships within the genus. In the present study, we reconstructed the phylogenetic relationships by utilizing one nuclear DNA (nrITS) and seven plastid genes (, , , , , , and ) from 70 species (varieties) in .

Pseudomonas are ubiquitously occurring microorganisms and are known for their ability to produce antimicrobials. An endophytic bacterial strain NP-1, isolated from Eucalyptus dunnii leaves, exhibits antifungal properties against five tested phytopathogenic fungi. The strain is a Gram-negative rod-shaped bacterium containing a single polar flagellum.

, a terrestrial orchid was widely used as a traditional medicinal plant in China. In this study, we assembled the complete chloroplast genome of using Illumina sequencing data. The whole genome is 158,716 bp, contains a large single-copy region (LSC 86,010 bp), a small single-copy region (SSC 18,276 bp), and a pair of inverted repeats (IR 27,215 bp).

This study examined the hypotheses that soil microbial community composition and catabolic activity would significantly degenerated by consecutive monoculture in Chinese fir plantations. The phospholipid fatty acids (PLFA) and community level physiological profiles (CLPP) methods were used to assess the variations of soil microbial community among the first rotation Chinese fir plantation (FCP), the second rotation plantation (SCP) and the third rotation plantation (TCP). The total content of PLFA biomarkers was highest in FCP, followed by SCP, and TCP was the least detected.

This paper reported the characters of gap edge effect of Castanopsis kawakamii community in Sanming, Fujian Province. The species diversity, ecological dominance, and edge effect strength of 38 forest gaps with different development stages in different stands of Castanopsis kawakamii community were measured, and Shannon-Wiener index, Simpson index, and index of edge effect strength were calculated. The results showed that the index of the gap edge effect of Castanopsis kawakamii community was about 0.
