Introduction: We aimed to find potential differences in clinically significant prostate cancer (csPCa) detection rates between transperineal software-assisted fusion biopsy (saFB) and cognitive fusion biopsies (cFB).

Methods: A systematic review of the literature was performed to identify comparative studies using PubMed, EMBASE, and Scopus according to the PICOS criteria. Cancer detection and complication rates were pooled using the Cochran-Mantel-Haenszel method with the random effect model and reported as odds ratios (ORs), 95% confidence intervals (CI), and -values.

Article Synopsis
  • A study investigated new training methods for retrograde intrarenal surgery (RIRS) using 3D printed models of the upper urinary tract and stones, introduced in 2021.
  • Twenty urologists with varying expertise participated in a simulation event to assess the models' effectiveness in developing surgical skills, with their performance evaluated using the OSATS scale.
  • Results showed that novice surgeons improved their skills through repeated simulations, evidenced by shorter operative times and higher OSATS scores, confirming the models' validity and suggesting their use in training programs.

Introduction: Clinically significant prostate cancer (csCaP) with Gleason ≥3 + 4 is found in 10% negative prebiopsy multiparametric (mp) MRI cases and varies widely for equivocal mpMRI cases. The objective of this study was to investigate long-term outcomes of patients with negative and equivocal mpMRIs and to develop a predictive score for csCaP risk stratification in this group.

Patients And Methods: Patients who underwent an upfront mpMRI between May 2015 and March 2018 with an MRI score Likert 1 to 3 were included in the study.

Objective: Given the high variation of perceptions of women with stress urinary incontinence (SUI), qualitative meta-synthesis in this field appears warranted. We aimed to synthesize evidence on women's experiences of SUI by analyzing qualitative data.

Methods: A literature search of Medline, Embase, Scopus, PsycInfo, and CINAHL databases was performed by a CHORUS Working Group, from inception to August 2020.

Article Synopsis
  • The study aimed to evaluate the content and quality of guidelines regarding vaginal mesh procedures for pelvic organ prolapse (POP) from various sources until March 2020.
  • Five guidelines were reviewed, with a consensus on preferring individualized, conservative treatments over mesh use, and identifying vaginal pessaries and pelvic floor muscle training as effective options.
  • Despite moderate to high overall quality ratings, areas such as stakeholder involvement and editorial independence scored poorly, indicating room for improvement in future guidelines.
