Introduction: The evidence on the utility and effectiveness of rehabilitation interventions delivered via telerehabilitation is growing rapidly. Telerehabilitation is expected to have a key role in rehabilitation in the future.

Background: Effectiveness in health services is achieved if desired clinical outcomes are reached. In rehabilitation the relevant clinical outcome is functioning, with the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) as the reference system for the standardized reporting of functioning outcomes. To foster the implementation of the ICF in clinical quality management (CQM) across the rehabilitation services continuum, the UEMS-PRM Section and Board approved an ICF implementation action plan that includes the identification of types of currently provided rehabilitation services in Europe.

When the Injury's Healing Process Meets the Needs of a Top-Level Volleyball Player: A Nonconventional Treatment of a Mallet Fracture Reinjury.

Managing top-level athlete's recovery after an injury is very complicated because it requires a challenging combination of clinical and social/professional aspects with the need to return as soon as possible to sports play. Herein, we report a top-level volleyball player for whom a finger splint combined with a custom made thermoplastic protection was used for the conservative management of a Mallet fracture reinjury. This way our player continued training and competitions in contrast to conventional rehabilitation protocols, which suggest to avoid new traumas until the healing phase is completed.

This article focuses on the role of echocardiography and MRI in the diagnosis of these structural diseases. Ameloblastic carcinoma of the maxilla: A case report and an updated review of the literature.

Ameloblastic carcinoma (AC) is an uncommon malignant odontogenic tumor that can be difficult to differentiate from ameloblastoma and can arise directly as an undifferentiated lesion or from a pre-existing benign lesion. The current study presents a novel case of primary maxillary AC and review the literature on AC of the maxilla. The review of the literature indicates that secondary tumors and posterior localization are associated with a higher tendency for recurrence and, often, multiple recurrences.

Practice, science and governance in interaction: European effort for the system-wide implementation of the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) in Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine.

Since its launch in 2001, relevant international, regional and national PRM bodies have aimed to implement the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) in Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine (PRM), whereby contributing to the development of suitable practical tools. These tools are available for implementing the ICF in day-to-day clinical practice, standardized reporting of functioning outcomes in quality management and research, and guiding evidence-informed policy. Educational efforts have reinforced PRM physicians' and other rehabilitation professionals' ICF knowledge, and numerous implementation projects have explored how the ICF is applied in clinical practice, research and policy.

Background: Diabetic mastopathy (DM) is a lymphocytic mastitis that develops in women who have suffered from insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus for some years.

Cases: A 51-year-old female with type 1 insulin-dependent diabetes for 13 years presented with a 3-cm, hard, mobile nodule in the right breast. A 59-year-old female on insulin therapy for five years presented with a 4-cm mass in the subareolar region of the breast.
